Therese Nilshagen (born 24 January 1983) is a Swedish dressage rider. At the European Championships in Gothenburg 2017, she won team silver and at the Rotterdam 2019, she won team bronze, both with the black stallion Dante Weltino OLD. In 2016 she was selected for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, but during the vet-check, the horse was not fit, so she was replaced by fellow team rider Mads Hendeliowitz. [1]
In 2021, Nilshagen was part of the Swedish Olympic team during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, finished 14th in the individual final and 6th with the team. [2] In 2024 she competed at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, finishing 6th in the team competition and 18th in the individual freestyle.
Nilshagen started riding at an age of 8 at the local riding school in Sweden. Her international debut was in 2015 in Cappeln on Small Tour Level. In 2016 she competed for the first time at international Grand Prix level. That same year she was selected for the Swedish Olympic team. She is currently based in Germany. Nilshagen is fluent in Swedish, German, English and Finnish. [3]
Therese Johaug is a Norwegian cross-country skier from the village of Dalsbygda in Os municipality who has competed for the clubs Tynset IF and IL Nansen. In World Ski Championships she has won ten individual gold medals along with four gold medals in relays, and she is a four-time Olympic gold medallist.
Isabell Werth is a German equestrian who has competed in dressage at seven Olympic Games —1992, 1996, 2000, 2008, 2016, 2020, 2024— winning the gold medal in the team event in all seven, and one gold and six silver medals in the individual event. She stands alone in having medals from seven Olympics, or across a span of 32 years; her 14 medals are the most for any German or equestrian. She also has numerous titles in the World and European Championships and World Cups.
Yvonne Losos de Muñiz is an Olympic athlete and international Grand Prix dressage rider. Born in Nigeria to Canadian parents, she represents the Dominican Republic internationally. She belongs to the elite Dominican Olympic athlete program CRESO.
Eric Lamaze is a Canadian showjumper and Olympic champion. He won individual gold and team silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, riding Hickstead. Lamaze has won three Olympic medals, as well as four Pan American Games medals and one World Equestrian Games bronze. He is considered one of Canada's best showjumpers. He is currently banned from participating in equestrian activities until 2027.
Edwina Tops-Alexander is an Australian showjumper known for her participation in three Olympics, finishing in the top ten twice. She is the first Australian to place in the top 10 at the World Equestrian Games and the first rider to earn more than €1 million in prize money on the Global Champions Tour. She is Australia's most decorated female equestrian.
Carlos Paro is an event rider who won a team bronze medal in the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2007, a team silver medal in the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada and an Individual Bronze and team Silver in the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru in eventing for Brazil. He has competed in four Olympic games: the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Laura Tomlinson MBE is a German-British dressage rider competing at Olympic level. As of 30 June 2012 the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) ranked her 3rd in the world riding Mistral Højris and 36th on Andretti H. In that year, Tomlinson, riding Mistral Højris under her maiden name of Laura Bechtolsheimer, won two medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London; gold for Great Britain in the team dressage with Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin, the first ever Olympic team gold in the discipline for her country, and bronze in the individual dressage behind gold medalist and compatriot Dujardin.
Boyd Martin is an Australian-born, American equestrian competing in the discipline of eventing. He has participated in four consecutive Summer Olympic Games and is a two-time Pan American Games team gold medalist and individual gold medalist. He is a two-time CCI5*-L winner.
Sophie Wells is a British para-equestrian who won three medals at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, and 2 Golds and 1 Silver at the 2016 Rio Paralympics, and most recently Team Gold and Individual Silver at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.

Tanya Karen Seymour is a South African dressage rider. She competed at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, where she placed 20th with the South African team in the team competition and 98th in the individual dressage competition.
Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour is a Danish Olympic dressage horse rider. Representing Denmark, she competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro where she finished 13th in the individual and 6th in the team competition. At the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, she finished 4th in both the individual and team dressage events.
Henrik von Eckermann is a Swedish Olympic show jumping rider. He has competed at four Summer Olympics. His best individual Olympic placements came in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo when he won gold in the team and placed 4th in the individual competition.
Kelly Layne is an Australian Dressage rider and trainer. She planned on qualifying to represent her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. However, Layne was unable to compete in the final qualifying event due to an injury suffered by her horse, Udon P, forcing her to withdraw. While born in Australia, Layne is currently based in Wellington, Florida. Layne also helped found her own riding team, "Dream Team Dressage".
The individual dressage event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place from 24 to 28 July 2021 at the Baji Koen. Like all other equestrian events, the dressage competition is open-gender, with both male and female athletes competing in the same division. 60 riders from 30 nations are expected to compete.
Henri Ruoste is a Finnish Olympic dressage rider. He competed at three European Championships. He represented the Finnish team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Caroline Rosanna Pei Jia Chew is a Singaporean equestrian athlete and solicitor. She competed at the 2018 World Equestrian Games and the 2014 Asian Games in dressage, and at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in show jumping. She won several medals during the Southeast Asian Games, and competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Charlotte Fry is an Olympic, European Championships and World Championships medal-winning British dressage rider. As of August 2024, Fry has a total of 90 victories and is currently third in the FEI World Dressage Ranking.
