Greville Thomas Scott Stevens was an English amateur cricketer who played for Middlesex,the University of Oxford and England. A leg-spin and googly bowler and attacking batsman,he captained England in one Test match,in South Africa in 1927. He was widely regarded as one of the leading amateur cricketers of his generation who,because of his commitments outside cricket,was unable to fulfil his potential and left the game early.

John Ashby Lester was an American cricketer,active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries,and a teacher. Lester was one of the Philadelphian cricketers who played from the end of the 19th century until the outbreak of World War I. His obituary in Wisden Cricketers' Almanack,described him as "one of the great figures in American cricket." During his career,he played in 53 matches for the Philadelphians,47 of which are considered first class. From 1897 until his retirement in 1908,Lester led the batting averages in Philadelphia and captained all the international home matches.
Michael Burns is an English first-class list cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer who played county cricket for Warwickshire and Somerset in a first-class career which spanned from 1992 until 2005. He also played Minor Counties cricket for Cumberland and Cornwall. An adaptable cricketer,he appeared for Cumberland and Warwickshire as a wicket-keeper,but when he moved to Somerset he developed into an aggressive batsman who bowled at medium-pace when needed.
William Robert de la Cour Shirley was an English cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler,he played first-class cricket between 1922 and 1925,primarily for Hampshire. He also played first-class cricket for Cambridge University and the Free Foresters in addition to representing the Nigeria national cricket team.
Christopher Herbert Millington Greetham played first-class cricket for Somerset County Cricket Club from 1957 to 1966 as a middle-order batsman and a medium-pace bowler. Greetham was a tall,fair-haired right-handed batsman usually used in Somerset's late middle order and a right-arm seam bowler who,for a couple of seasons in the early 1960s,took enough wickets to be classed as an all-rounder. He was considered a good cover fielder,with a strong and accurate throw.
