Thottipalayam is an eastern suburb of Coimbatore in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Coimbatore, also known as Kovai and coyamuthur, is a major city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located on the banks of the Noyyal River and surrounded by the Western Ghats. Coimbatore is the second largest city in the state and the 16th largest urban agglomeration in India. It is administered by the Coimbatore Municipal Corporation and is the administrative capital of Coimbatore district.

As of 2001 [update] India census, [1] Thottipalayam had a population of 24,969. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Thottipalayam has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 59%. In Thottipalayam, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
