Tigers Basketball Club is a Rwandan semi-professional basketball team based in Kigali. Founded in 2019, it entered the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) in the same year.
The club was founded by entrepreneur and former basketball player Francis Shyaka. [1] The Tigers' best result was their 4th place in the 2021–22 season and their participation in the semifinals. In December 2024, the team signed Henry Mwinuka, a five-time winning RBL coach, as their new head coach. [2]
Since its establishment, the Tigers have played in several courts provided by the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL), however, the team has plans to construct an own arena in the future. [3]

The Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) (formerly the National Basketball League Rwanda) is the top professional basketball league in Rwanda. Its season usually runs from November to September. The winners of the NBL season qualify for the qualifiers for the Basketball Africa League (BAL).
Mazen "Maz" Trakh is a Jordanian-American professional basketball coach who is the head coach for APR BBC of the Rwanda Basketball League. Trakh previously coached in the National Basketball Association (NBA), Continental Basketball Association (CBA), American Basketball Association (ABA) and overseas.
Aristide Mugabe is a Rwandan professional basketball player and assistant coach for Kepler of the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL). He played 11 years for the Rwanda national team during his career. He is widely regarded as one of the best players in Rwandan basketball history.

It plays in the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL), the highest tier of basketball in Rwanda. REG has won the national championship thrice, in 2017, 2021 and 2022.
Armée Patriotique Rwandaise Basketball Club, commonly known simply as APR, is a Rwandan basketball club based in Kigali. On 1 December 2021, the FERWABA announced the creation of the new competition. Its inaugural season began on April 1, 2022, with sixteen teams divided in three groups. As of 2024, the league has 24 teams.

Orion Basketball Club is a Rwandan semi-professional basketball team based in Kigali. They play in the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL). Orion was founded in 2022 and started playing in the Division 2 and was immediately promoted to the top flight league.

The 2025 RBL season will be the 48th season of the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL), and the 4th season of the league under its current name. The league is organized by the FERWABA. The regular season will begin on January 24, 2025, and ten teams will participate.
