Tillotson Terrell (born 1 May 1785 in Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut), was one of the first settlers of Ridgeville Township in what is now Lorain County, Ohio. He, along with several others, including his father and grandfather, traded their land in Connecticut for a quarter of the land in Ridgeville and made the trip on horseback and foot. [1]
Tillotson, the eldest son of Ichabod Terrell (1764–1825) and Rhoda Williams (1766-1861), married Electa Wilmot (1776–1861) and had eleven children. His mother is believed to have been living in the Wyoming Valley at the time of the Battle of Wyoming, also known as the Wyoming Massacre.
Tillotson arrived in Ridgeville with his wife and three children on July 6, 1810. [2] He died in Ridgeville on December 23, 1838.

It has a Cook PVI of D+5. Its Ohio Senator is Republican Nathan Manning. He resides in North Ridgeville, a city located in Lorain County.
Nathan Manning is a member of the Ohio Senate, representing the 13th district since 2019. Previously he was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving in that body from 2015 to 2018. He is the son of state Representative Gayle Manning and former state Representative Jeffrey Manning. Manning decided to run for election after to his father's old seat to succeed the term-limited Matt Lundy in 2014. Manning was an assistant prosecutor for the city of North Ridgeville before running for office. Manning is a graduate of Denison University and Capital University Law School. In the general election, Manning defeated his opponent, Democrat Brendan Mackin, 56%-44% to take the seat.
Dick Stein is the state representative for the 54th District of the Ohio House of Representatives. He is a Republican. The district consists of Huron County as well as Rochester, Wellington, LaGrange, Eaton Estates, Avon and portions of North Ridgeville in Lorain County.
Elah Terrell (1851–1920) was an American architect from Columbus, Ohio. Terrell designed important buildings under the company Elah T. Terrell & Co. in Ohio, notably in Sheffield, Lorain County, and Columbus. Terrell was a member of the Ohio chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
