Timothy Gavin McIntosh (born 4 December 1979) is a New Zealand former international cricketer who played for the Auckland cricket team. He had one unsuccessful season for the Canterbury cricket team averaging only 4.90.
He was born in Auckland. He has also played for Scottish side,Greenock for season 2007–2008 performing admirably with five centuries.
On his New Zealand debut,it took McIntosh 38 deliveries to score his first runs in Tests. [1] However,he impressed in his second Test,scoring a patient 136,his maiden Test century,to help New Zealand secure a draw against the West Indies.
The 2010 tour of India started disastrously for McIntosh,when he scored a pair in the first Test at Ahmedabad. However,he bounced back and scored a patient 102 in the next Test at Hyderabad,becoming only the 11th batsman in the game to score a century after getting a pair in the previous match.
The New Zealand national cricket team represents New Zealand in men's international cricket. Nicknamed the Black Caps,they played their first Test in 1930 against England in Christchurch,becoming the fifth country to play Test cricket. From 1930 New Zealand had to wait until 1956,more than 26 years,for its first Test victory,against the West Indies at Eden Park in Auckland. They played their first ODI in the 1972–73 season against Pakistan in Christchurch. New Zealand are the inaugural champions of WTC which they won in 2021 and they have also won ICC CT in 2000. They have played in the CWC final twice and the T20 WC final once.
Stephen Paul Fleming is a New Zealand cricket coach and former captain of the New Zealand national cricket team,who is the current head coach of Indian Premier League team Chennai Super Kings. He is considered one of the greatest batsmen for the New Zealand national cricket team. Under his Captaincy New Zealand won the 2000 ICC KnockOut Trophy. Geoffrey Philip Howarth is a former New Zealand cricketer and former captain,who remains the only New Zealand captain to have positive win–loss records in both Test cricket and ODI cricket. Jeet Ashok Raval is a New Zealand cricketer. Raval is an opening batsman,who plays for New Zealand internationally and Northern Districts domestically. Originally from Ahmedabad in India,Raval played cricket for New Zealand's under-19 team and then spent eight years playing first-class cricket as an opening batsman for Auckland and Central Districts before being selected to play Test cricket for New Zealand for the first time in 2016. Raval initially struggled for form and it took 17 Test matches and 7 half-centuries before he scored his maiden Test century against Bangladesh.
