Canterbury is a first-class cricket team based in Canterbury, New Zealand. It is one of six teams that compete in senior New Zealand Cricket competitions and has been the second most successful domestic team in New Zealand history. They compete in the Plunket Shield first-class competition and The Ford Trophy one day competition as well as in the Men's Super Smash competition as the Canterbury Kings.

The Auckland cricket team represent the Auckland region and are one of six New Zealand domestic first class cricket teams. Governed by the Auckland Cricket Association they are the most successful side having won 28 Plunket Shield titles, ten wins in The Ford Trophy and the Super Smash four times. The side currently play their home games at Eden Park Outer Oval.

The Ford Trophy is the main domestic List A limited overs cricket competition in New Zealand. Previous sponsor State Insurance did not renew naming rights in 2009, resulting in the competition being renamed the New Zealand Cricket one-day competition. The competition was renamed the Ford Trophy following a partnership between New Zealand Cricket and Ford Motor Company in 2011.

The Hallyburton Johnstone Shield is the premier domestic women's one-day cricket competition in New Zealand. The tournament began in 1935–36, as a first-class competition, but is now played as a 50-over competition, with six provincial teams taking part: Auckland, Canterbury, Central Districts, Northern Districts, Otago and Wellington. The tournament now runs alongside the Twenty20 Women's Super Smash.

Jack Boyle is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Canterbury on 22 November 2016 in the 2016–17 Plunket Shield season. He made his List A debut for Canterbury on 15 January 2017 in the 2016–17 Ford Trophy.

William Salter Austen Williams is a New Zealand and English cricketer. He made his List A debut for Canterbury on 18 January 2017 in the 2016–17 Ford Trophy. He made his Twenty20 debut for Canterbury in the 2017–18 Super Smash on 14 December 2017.

Henry Cooper is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Northern Districts on 22 November 2016 in the 2016–17 Plunket Shield season. In June 2018, he was awarded a contract with Northern Districts for the 2018–19 season. In November 2020, Cooper was named in the New Zealand A cricket team for practice matches against the touring West Indies team. He made his Twenty20 debut on 27 December 2020, for Northern Districts, against Central Stags in the 2020–21 Super Smash. In March 2021, Cooper scored his first century in List A cricket, scoring 146 not out in the preliminary final of the 2020–21 Ford Trophy. In November 2021, in the 2021–22 Plunket Shield season, Cooper scored his maiden double century in first-class cricket.

Fraser Sheat is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Canterbury in the 2017–18 Plunket Shield season on 23 October 2017. He made his List A debut for Canterbury in the 2017–18 Ford Trophy on 3 December 2017.

Sean Davey is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his Twenty20 debut for Northern Districts in the 2017–18 Super Smash on 2 January 2018. Prior to his Twenty20 debut, he was part of New Zealand's squad for the 2012 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his first-class debut on 5 November 2020, for Canterbury in the 2020–21 Plunket Shield season. He made his List A debut on 29 November 2020, for Canterbury in the 2020–21 Ford Trophy, taking his first five-wicket haul in List A cricket with 6-30.

Willem Ludick is a South African cricketer who has played domestic cricket in New Zealand. In 2020, Ludick had moved to Texas, with an aim of possibly representing the United States. He is the grandson of South African Olympic boxer Willie Ludick.

Mitchell James Hay is a New Zealand cricketer. He made his List A debut on 13 December 2020, for Canterbury in the 2020–21 Ford Trophy. He made his Twenty20 debut on 10 December 2021, for Canterbury in the 2021–22 Super Smash. He made his first-class debut on 29 March 2022, for Canterbury in the 2021–22 Plunket Shield season.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Super Smash (women's cricket)</span> Womens Cricket competition in New Zealand

The Women's Super Smash, known for sponsorship reasons as the Dream11 Super Smash, is a women's Twenty20 competition organised by New Zealand Cricket.

The 2022–23 Dream11 Super Smash was the eighteenth season of the men's Super Smash Twenty20 cricket competition played in New Zealand. It took place between 23 December 2022 and 11 February 2023, with 6 provincial teams taking part. Northern Brave were the defending champions.

Zakary Glen Foulkes is a New Zealand cricketer, who is a right-handed batter and a right-arm medium bowler. He plays for the Canterbury Kings in domestic cricket.
