The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with NCAA Division I. Its current 13 full members are located in five Northeastern states: Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.
Isaac Bruce Hildebrand was a Canadian ice hockey and lacrosse player. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he played 41 games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers and Chicago Black Hawks during the 1953–54 and 1954–55 seasons. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1944 to 1960, was spent in various minor leagues.
Brian "Doc" Dougherty is a retired Hall of Fame American lacrosse goaltender. He attended The Episcopal Academy before attending University of Maryland. He is currently the head coach at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.
Kevin Finneran is an American lacrosse coach and former player. In 2006, he was the head coach and general manager of Major League Lacrosse's Chicago Machine. Prior to becoming the team's first head coach Finneran had played in the MLL. He played with the Long Island Lizards from 2001 to 2004 and the Philadelphia Barrage in 2005.
Daniel R. Mackesey was born July 14, 1954, in Ithaca, New York, and attended Cornell University, where he was a member of the Quill and Dagger society and graduated cum laude in 1977.
John Gagliardi is a retired professional and All-World Team USA lacrosse player and current entrepreneur and investor from Manhasset, New York. He was a member of the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse before retiring in 2009. He now lives in New York City. In June 2010 he sold his company Maverik Lacrosse to New York City private equity company Kohlberg & Co. Kohlberg & Co also owns Bauer Hockey and 16 other companies.
Division Avenue High School is a four-year public high school in Levittown, New York. It is one of two traditional high schools in the Levittown Union Free School District and one of four high schools in the hamlet of Levittown in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County on Long Island. It opened in 1948 as Division Avenue School. It was expanded in 1955 and renamed Division Avenue High School. Its first graduating class was in 1960. It is one of the original school buildings in the district.
Lawrence J. Quinn was an All-American lacrosse goaltender at the Johns Hopkins University from 1982 to 1985, leading the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays to the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship in 1984 and 1985, and two additional finals appearances in 1982 and 1983.
Sal LoCascio is an American former professional lacrosse goaltender and coach who played the majority of his career for the New York Saints of the National Lacrosse League. He also played one season with the Long Island Lizards of Major League Lacrosse, and later served as the head coach of the MLL's Bridgeport/Philadelphia Barrage
Mitchell Dye Belisle is an American former professional lacrosse player for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse and former player for the Georgia Swarm in the National Lacrosse League. Belisle represented the United States in the 2014 FIL World Championship and the 2011 FIL World Indoor Championship.

Charles E. Marsters was an American lacrosse player and proponent. He helped promote the sport throughout New England and served in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) in various executive capacities. In 1957, he was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

Kelly Amonte Hiller is an American lacrosse coach and former player who is the women's lacrosse head-coach at Northwestern University. She has coached Northwestern to eight NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championships. Amonte Hiller played for the University of Maryland Terrapins, and won two national championships as a player. She was named the ACC Female Athlete of the Year in 1996. In 2012, Amonte Hiller was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

The LIU Post Pioneers were the athletic teams that represented the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, located in Brookville, New York, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports through the 2018–19 school year. The Pioneers most recently competed as members of the East Coast Conference for most sports; the football team was an affiliate of the Northeast-10 Conference. LIU Post has been a member of the ECC since 1989, when the league was established as the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The LIU Sharks are the athletics teams representing Long Island University's (LIU) campuses in Brooklyn and Brookville, New York. The Sharks compete in NCAA Division I athletics and are members of the Northeast Conference. The LIU Sharks are the result of the July 1, 2019 unification of the athletic departments which had previously represented two separate campuses of LIU, the NCAA Division I LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds and the NCAA Division II LIU Post Pioneers.
