Tin Shui Wai Government Secondary School

Tin Shui Wai Government Secondary School or TSWGSS was established in 1990. It is located in Tin Yiu Estate in Tin Shui Wai, a part of Hong Kong. Having adopted the policy of inclusive education, it is a co-educational grammar school. TSWGSS is a nominated secondary school of Tin Shui Wai Government Primary School. [1]

Tin Shui Wai Place in Yuen Long District, Hong Kong

Tin Shui Wai New Town is in the northwestern New Territories of Hong Kong. Originally a gei wai fish pond area, it was developed in the 1980s as the second new town in Yuen Long District and the eighth in Hong Kong. It is 25 kilometres due northwest of Central, Victoria, Hong Kong on land reclaimed from low-lying areas south of Deep Bay, next to historic Ping Shan. As of 2014, the new town had a population of 292,000, while the total projected population for when the town is fully built-out is about 306,000.

TSWGSS was first built in Au Tau in Yuen Long in 1990. It has moved to Tin Shui Wai since 1992. Medium of instruction in junior forms had been switched from English to Chinese starting from September 1998. [2] The TSWGSS campus is next to Yuen Long Lutheran Secondary School, which shares the same location in parts of TSWGSS.

Yuen Long town

Yuen Long, formerly romanised as Un Long, is an area and town on the Yuen Long Plain located in the western New Territories, Hong Kong. To its west lie Hung Shui Kiu (洪水橋), Tin Shui Wai, Lau Fau Shan and Ha Tsuen, to the south Shap Pat Heung and Tai Tong, to the east Au Tau and Kam Tin (錦田), and to the north Nam Sang Wai.

Yuen Long Plain

The Yuen Long Plain, in the northwestern corner of the New Territories, is the largest alluvial plain in Hong Kong. With an area of 144.3 square kilometres (55.7 sq mi), it was formed between the time of the Tang dynasty (618–907) and Song dynasty (960–1279). It covers Yuen Long Town, Tin Shui Wai, Lau Fau Shan, Ping Shan, Shap Pat Heung, Hung Shui Kiu, San Tin, Lok Ma Chau, Pat Heung, Kam Tin, Nam Sang Wai, Mai Po, etc.

Sun Yuen Long Centre
