Tindra Holm (born 26 May 2001) is a Swedish ice hockey goaltender, currently playing with the LIU Sharks women's ice hockey program in the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) conference of the NCAA Division I.

Playing career

Growing up in Kåge, just outside Skellefteå, Holm mostly played on boys' teams, but spent some time with the Damettan sides of Clemensnäs HC and IF Björklöven between 2013 and 2016. [1] In 2016, she was named to Västerbotten's team for TV-pucken, the fifth girl in history to participate in the tournament. [2] [3]

From 2016 to 2018, she played for the Skellefteå AIK U16 boys' teams. [4] She was loaned to Luleå HF/MSSK in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL), the top flight of Swedish women's hockey, for a game in December 2016. Luleå won 11–0, with Holm picking up a shutout on her SDHL debut as a 15-year-old. [5]

In 2018, Holm signed with MODO Hockey, serving as the club's SDHL backup goaltender. [6] She picked up another shutout on her MODO debut, her second SDHL shutout in as many games, as the club defeated Göteborg HC 4–0. [7]

She left MODO after two seasons, returning to Luleå HF for the 2020–21 season. [8] [9]

Holm joined the LIU Sharks ice hockey program of Long Island University as an incoming freshman for the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. She was named NEWHA Rookie of the Week for the week of 5 October 2021 and earned NEWHA Goaltender of the Week honors for the week of 23 November after making 60 saves on 63 shots for a .950 (95%) save percentage across back-to-back victories over Saint Anselm. International career

Holm represented Sweden at the 2019 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship. [12]

Holm was selected to the Swedish national team for the 2023 IIHF Women's World Championship as the third goalie behind Emma Söderberg and Sara Grahn. She traveled and practiced with the team but did not dress for any games of the tournament.

Personal life

Holm's father, Krister Holm, has been the goaltending coach for Skellefteå AIK in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) since 2006. [13]

The Swedish Women's Hockey League, abbreviated SDHL, is the elite league for women's ice hockey in Sweden. It was established in 2007 as the Riksserien by the Swedish Ice Hockey Association and was renamed prior to the 2016–17 season. The league has ten teams and employs a system of promotion and relegation with the Nationella Damhockeyligan (NDHL). The unexpected withdrawal of Göteborg HC after playing only thirteen games of the 2022–23 season caused the number of teams to decrease to nine for the remainder of that season.

The 2011–12 Elitserien season was the 37th season of Elitserien. The regular season began on 13 September 2011 and ended on 6 March 2012. Sara Karin Maria Grahn is a Swedish ice hockey goaltender for Luleå HF/MSSK in the Swedish Women's Hockey League and the Swedish national team. She is the longest tenured goaltender in SDHL history, the only to have ever played more than 300 games, and has won the SDHL championship once.

The 2014–15 SHL season was the 40th season of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). The regular season began on 10 September 2014 and ended on 5 March 2015. The following playoffs began on 12 March and ended on 23 April 2015.

Emma Elisabeth Nordin is a Swedish ice hockey forward and member of the Swedish national ice hockey team, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with Luleå HF/MSSK. Luleå Hockey/MSSK are a professional ice hockey team in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). They play in Luleå, a port city in northeastern Sweden, at Coop Norrbotten Arena. The team is the most successful club in SDHL history, having been regular season champions for four consecutive years, 2015–2019, and winning the Swedish Championship seven times within eight years, from 2016 to 2024.
