Background

Founded in 1999, they have released original material by Flipron, Scott 4, Magic Car, The Billy Shinbone Show and The Rhynes.

Flipron is a psychedelic pop band from Glastonbury, England, United Kingdom. Their music has been likened to Tom Waits, Syd Barrett, The Kinks [1] and XTC. [2]

Scott 4 is an electronic band from London, who were previously signed to the major label V2 Records.

Magic Car are from Nottingham, England, and feature the Americana / folk rock songs of the actor and musician Phil Smeeton. [3]

Formed in 1980, the group is known for lyrics based on fantasy and mythology, as well as numerous songs celebrating the genre and its core audience. In an interview for MTV in February 2007, bassist Joey DeMaio lamented that "these days, there's a real lack of big, epic metal that is drenched with crushing guitars and choirs and orchestras... so it's nice to be one of the few bands that's actually doing that". In 1984, the band was included in the Guinness Book of World Records for delivering the loudest performance, a record which they have since broken on two occasions. They also hold the world record for the longest heavy metal concert after playing for five hours and 1 minute in Bulgaria in 2008. They also have been known for their slogan "Death to false metal". The band maintains a strong cult following.

Magic Car are a British Americana / folk rock band formed in 1994 by the actor Phil Smeeton and Hazel Atkinson (vocalist). They signed to the independent record label Tiny Dog Records in 1999 and have released four albums - Yellow Main Sequence (2001), Family Matters (2005), and European Punks (2002), a joint album with Scott 4. A fourth, Meteorites was released in 2016.
