The Toledo Rockets women's basketball team represents the University of Toledo in women's basketball. The school competes in the Mid-American Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Rockets play home basketball games at Savage Arena at the campus in Toledo, Ohio.
As of the 2016–17 season, the Rockets have a 832–538 record, with a 441–246 record in the Mid-American Conference. Toledo has won the Mid-American Conference women's basketball tournament nine times (1991, 1992, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2017, 2023) while finishing as runner-up in 1984, 1989, 1994, 1998, 2000, and 2010. They reached the Second round of the NCAA tournament in 1992 and 1996. They have made 10 appearances in the Women's National Invitation Tournament, winning the title in 2011 and quarterfinals appearances in 2012 and 2022. [2] [3]

The Kent State Golden Flashes are the athletic teams that represent Kent State University. The university fields 19 varsity athletic teams in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level with football competing in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Kent State is a full member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) and has been part of the MAC East division since it was created in 1998. Official school colors are Kent State Blue and Kent State Gold.
The Akron Zips men's basketball team represents the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. The team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference East division. The Toledo Rockets football team is a college football program in Division I FBS, representing the University of Toledo. The Rockets compete in the Mid-American Conference. Toledo began playing football in 1917, although it did not field teams in 1931, 1943, 1944, and 1945. Since the inception of the AP Poll in 1936, Toledo has finished in the Top 25 four times. Its highest finish came in 1970 when it ranked No. 12 after finishing 12–0. Toledo has an 11–9 record in bowl games. The Rockets were the 2017 MAC champions. The team's head coach is Jason Candle.
The Morehead State Eagles are an NCAA Division I men's basketball team that represents Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky, United States. The school is a charter member of the Ohio Valley Conference and has competed in the OVC since its inception in 1948.
The Youngstown State Penguins men's basketball team represents Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. The 2013–14 Toledo Rockets men's basketball team represented the University of Toledo during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Rockets, led by fourth year head coach Tod Kowalczyk, played their home games at the Savage Arena as members of the West Division of the Mid-American Conference. After sitting out the postseason in 2012–13 due to low APR scores, the Rockets became eligible for the MAC and NCAA Tournaments in 2013–14. They finished the season 27–7, 14–4 in MAC play to finish in a share for the West Division championship and the #1 overall seed in the MAC tournament. They advanced to the MAC championship game where they lost to Western Michigan. As the MAC #1 seed who failed to win the conference tournament, the received an automatic bid to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Southern Miss.
The Ball State Cardinals women's basketball team represents the Ball State University in women's basketball. The school competes in the Mid-American Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Cardinals play home basketball games at Worthen Arena on the Ball State campus in Muncie, Indiana.
The Kent State Golden Flashes women's basketball team represents Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, United States. The Golden Flashes compete in the Mid-American Conference and last played in the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament in 2024. Founded in 1973 as a club team, the Kent State women's basketball team received varsity status in 1975 and played their first official game in January 1976. Through the 2023–24 season, the Flashes have six total appearances in the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament along with four Mid-American Conference tournament championships, five MAC overall titles, and nine MAC East division titles. Home games are held at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, which has been the team's home venue since 1977. The head coach is Todd Starkey, who was hired April 19, 2016.
The Maine Black Bears women's basketball team is the basketball team that represents University of Maine in Orono, Maine, United States. The school's team currently competes in the America East Conference.
The South Florida Bulls women's basketball team represents the University of South Florida in women's basketball. The Bulls compete in the American Athletic Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Bulls play home basketball games at the Yuengling Center. South Florida is coached by Jose Fernandez, who has been with the Bulls since the 2000–01 season. USF has made the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament nine times in their history and won the Women's National Invitation Tournament in 2009. They have won three conference championships, taking the regular season American Athletic Conference title in 2021 and 2023 and the AAC tournament crown in 2021.
American Eagles women's basketball team represents American University and plays its home games at Bender Arena in Washington D.C. It competes as part of the Patriot League in NCAA Division I. In 2015, it received its first ever bid in the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament as a 14 seed after a 28–4 record and their first ever Patriot League tournament championship. They lost to #3 Iowa 75–67 in the First Round.

The 2022–23 Mid-American Conference women's basketball season is the season for Mid-American Conference women's basketball teams. It began with practices in October 2022, followed by the start of the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season in November. Conference play began in January 2023 and concluded in March 2023. The 2023 MAC tournament was held at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio for the 23rd consecutive season.
The 1978–79 Toledo Rockets men's basketball team represented University of Toledo as a member of the Mid-American Conference during the 1978–79 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by head coach Bob Nichols and played their home games at Centennial Hall in Toledo, Ohio. Toledo won the MAC championship, reached the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament for the only time in program history, and finished with a record of 22–8.
The 2022–23 Toledo Rockets women's basketball team represented University of Toledo during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Rockets, led by fifteenth-year head coach Tricia Cullop, played their home games at Savage Arena in Toledo, Ohio, as members of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The Rockets completed MAC play with a 16–2 record to claim the regular season championship for the second straight season. As the top seed they defeated Buffalo, Kent State and Bowling Green to win the MAC tournament. They were placed as the twelfth seed in the Seattle Region 3 of the 2023 NCAA tournament where they defeated Iowa State in the first round. They lost to Tennessee in the second round.
