Royal Albert Elisabeth Club de Mons, simply known as R.A.E.C. Mons or Mons, is a defunct Belgian football club formed in Mons, Hainaut Province, in 1910 and based at Stade Charles Tondreau from 1910 to 2015.
Oud-Heverlee Leuven, also called OH Leuven or OHL, is a Belgian professional football club from the city of Leuven. It was created in 2002 from the merger of three clubs, F.C. Zwarte Duivels Oud-Heverlee, whose registration number it inherited, Daring Club Leuven, and Stade Leuven. The club's home ground is Den Dreef, located in Heverlee. The club currently plays in the country's first division, the Belgian Pro League.

At the other end of the table, the struggle to avoid automatic relegation went on until the final round, and it was Lierse who eventually prevailed. Having spent the entire season at the bottom of the standings and only just managing to close an eleven-point gap up to 17th, the Lier side won their last game to climb past Beveren and send the latter down to the Second Division. However, Lierse went on to lose the playoffs and was relegated anyway.

Later on, he was coach of OH Leuven and Mons. In the summer of 2010, he returned to Lokeren as assistant coach. Cossey then became assistant consecutively at Gent in 2015, Genk in 2016, Club Brugge in 2017, Cercle Brugge in 2019, Antwerp in 2020 and Charleroi in 2022.

Club Brugge successfully defended their title from the previous season, finishing level on points in the title play-offs with Racing Genk, as regular season runners-up Royal Antwerp's challenge faded.
