Tomasz Wojciech Buczek (born 24 April 1986) is a Polish politician of the National Movement who was elected member of the European Parliament in 2024. [1]

Early life and career

Buczek was born in Kolbuszowa in 1986. [2] He previously served as vice president of the All-Polish Youth in Subcarpathian Voivodeship. [1] In the 2014 Polish local elections, he was the lead candidate of the National Movement in the third district for the Subcarpathian Voivodeship Sejmik. [3] He ran again in the 2018 local elections, as well as the 2019 European Parliament election and the 2019 and 2023 elections to the Sejm. [4] He is the leader of the National Movement in Subcarpathian Voivodeship, and one of the leaders of Confederation in the voivodeship. [5]

He was a member of the Sejm for the League of Polish Families from 2005 to 2007 and has been a member of the Sejm again since 2019 for the Confederation. Bosak was the chairman of the All-Polish Youth from 2005 to 2006 and was one of the founders and the current chairman of the National Movement. He was a candidate for president in 2020.

It won 11 seats in the Sejm after the 2019 Polish parliamentary election. Its candidate for the 2020 Polish presidential election was Krzysztof Bosak, who placed fourth among eleven candidates.
