Horvat made his Slovenian PrvaLiga debut for Mura on 21 July 2018 in a game against Triglav Kranj. [3]

Horvat made his debut for Slovenia on 29 March 2022 in a friendly match against Qatar, coming on as a 87th-minute substitute for Petar Stojanović. [4]
