Tommy Ward was born in Houston, Texas. [4] He was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. [5] He attended Faith Lutheran Middle & High School. [6] He began performing in theatre and musicals at the age of 15. [1] [4] Ward's early exposure to music was influenced by his grandfather who exposed him to big band, jazz, and singers like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. Tommy Ward began performing professionally at 16. [1] [4] He graduated from Las Vegas Academy of the Arts where he met Frankie Moreno who was teaching a masterclass for up-and-coming songwriters. In 2014, Larry Ruvo, a prominent business executive and the founder of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, introduced Ward to Quincy Jones. In Season 1, Episode 3 "The Gift of Tongues," Ward and his band played Barnyard Boogie by Louis Jordan and Unforgettable by Irving Gordon, popularized by Nat King Cole. Member Bob Gaudio teamed up with Jake Holmes to create a psychedelic concept album which adjusted the band's stylings to the changing times of the late 1960s. The Xperience was the first concert residency by American singer Christina Aguilera. It was produced by Live Nation Entertainment and was performed at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas. The residency was held for 24 performances separated into four legs, starting on May 31, 2019 and concluding on March 7, 2020. Aguilera performed material from her discography, as well as several covers and remixes. A fifth leg was planned as the final leg of the residency, set to begin towards the end of 2020 and continue until November 21, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shows were suspended and eventually canceled on September 30, 2020.
