Tone Rion (兎眠りおん) is a Vocaloid 3 vocal.

Development

She was first seen silhouetted on October 14, 2011 and was revealed in a poster on October 21. Later during the Vocanama event, more of her official art, her demo and her website was revealed, along with her Twitter. Her release date was the 16th of December in 2011. [1]

Contents

The original version of Tone Rion was discontinued from sale on August 20, 2013 and was re-released as "Tone Rion SE". [2]

In May 2015, it became possible to install Tone Rion onto the Mac OS x. [3]

On February 16, 2017, Tone Rion received a Vocaloid 4 update. Tone Rion SE was discontinued.

Characteristics

Her brief back-story states that she is 16, and was born in the year 2095. Rion performs on the Dear Stage (ディアステージ) located in future Akihabara set 100 years from the current time. [4]

Vocaloid 2

Vocaloid 2 is a singing voice synthesizer and the successor to the Vocaloid voice synthesizer application by Yamaha. Unlike the first engine, Vocaloid 2 based its output on vocal samples, rather than voice analysis. The synthesis engine and the user interface were completely revamped, with Japanese Vocaloids possessing a Japanese interface, as opposed to the previous version, which used English for both versions. It is noteworthy for introducing the popular character Hatsune Miku.

Koutaro Nishiyama Japanese voice actor and singer (born 1991)

Koutaro Nishiyama is a Japanese voice actor and singer from Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. He is currently affiliated with 81 Produce. His major roles are Atsushi Kinugawa in Cute High Earth Defense Club Love!, Sakutaro Kirara in Jewelpet: Magical Change, Kazunori Uesugi in Tantei Team KZ Jiken Note, Yoshiharu Hisomu in Kiznaiver and Ryūichi Kashima in School Babysitters. In 2018, he won the Best New Actor Award at the 12th Seiyu Awards.

VY1

VY1 is a Japanese female vocal developed by Yamaha Corporation and distributed by Bplats, Inc. to act as a "standard" vocal for Vocaloid. It has the codename of "Mizki". It was originally released for the Vocaloid 2 engine.

ZOLA Project

ZOLA Project is a release package for the Vocaloid 3 software containing the voices of 3 male singers. "ZOLA" is an acronym for "Zenithal Operated Liaison Aggregation".
