Yohioloid is an English Vocaloid developed VocaTone and distributed by PowerFX who also has an additional Japanese voice bank. The vocalist sampled for his vocals was Swedish singer Yohio. He was released for Vocaloid 3.
YOHIOloid was developed as a special vocal with an aim at rock music and Visual kei. VocaTone began production of another vocal following the release of Oliver. Yohio, by rare opportunity, offered himself and his vocal was put on priority due to its English/Japanese potential. His vocal was recorded in Sundsvall, Yohio's hometown at the Ninetone Studios. Following a series of rumours, it was later confirmed that Yohio was going to voice a bilingual Vocaloid with English and Japanese capabilities. Yohio himself confirmed this through a tweet. [1] After delays with regards to issues related to the English vocal, he was released on 10 September 2013. [2] DVD release of the voice bank was later available for purchase on September 17. [3]
MusicTech magazine ranked YOHIOloid and the Vocaloid 3 software as 7/10 and gave the overall package a good review. Yohioloid's anime influence was highly noticeable to the reviewer and generally understood he was made to suit the anime-fan target demographic. [4]
Yohioloid's illustration was picked via a contest where entries were given the chance to have their artwork be chosen for the final cover art of the software. The winner was picked by Yohio himself. Later the contest winning image appeared, though this was confirmed to be not the final version of the artwork and adjustments were being made to it. [5]
The black floating cube on the box is called "CUBI". Along with CUBI, YOHIOloid has many pets. A female cube who functions as a rewind button and a male cube who functions as a fast-forward button, and they are the younger siblings of CUBI. There is another cube that walks on four legs and is a rectangle, it functions as a box to store a microphone. The older sister of CUBI is a cat-like cube that constantly searches for information on the internet and the older brother of CUBI is a large bulky amp. His only non-technological pet is a black cat that wears a yellow ribbon.
Vocaloid is a singing voice synthesizer software product. Its signal processing part was developed through a joint research project led by Kenmochi Hideki at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain, in 2000 and was not originally intended to be a full commercial project. Backed by the Yamaha Corporation, it developed the software into the commercial product "Vocaloid" that was released in 2004.
Hatsune Miku, also called Miku Hatsune, and officially code-named CV01, is a Vocaloid software voicebank developed by Crypton Future Media and its official anthropomorphic mascot character, a 16-year-old girl with long, turquoise twintails. Miku's personification has been marketed as a virtual idol, and has performed at live virtual concerts onstage as an animated projection.
Megurine Luka, codenamed "CV03", is a Vocaloid software developed by Crypton Future Media, headquartered in Sapporo, Japan. Its official moe anthropomorphism is a 20-year-old woman. She uses Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2 and Vocaloid 4 singing synthesizer technology. Her voice is sampled from Yū Asakawa. She has performed alongside other Vocaloids at live concerts onstage as an animated hologram projection.
UTAU is a Japanese singing synthesizer application created by Ameya/Ayame (飴屋／菖蒲). This program is similar to the VOCALOID software, with the difference being it is shareware instead of under a third party licensing.
PowerFX Systems AB is a small recording company, based in Stockholm, Sweden. The company has been producing music samples, loops and sound effects since 1995. They also developed singing synthesizers using the VOCALOID engine developed by Yamaha Corporation.
Kevin Johio Lucas Rehn Eires, known professionally as Yohio, stylized as YOHIO is a Swedish singer and songwriter. He is best known for his performances as Yohio, wearing a lolita dress in previous years, with an androgynous appearance on stage. He is a former member of the Swedish rock band Seremedy, which disbanded in April 2013. Yohio has participated in Melodifestivalen both in 2013 and 2014, making it to the final on both occasions. He is one of the co-founders and current CEO of Keios Entertainment.
Vocaloid 2 is a singing voice synthesizer and the successor to the Vocaloid voice synthesizer application by Yamaha. Unlike the first engine, Vocaloid 2 based its output on vocal samples, rather than voice analysis. The synthesis engine and the user interface were completely revamped, with Japanese Vocaloids possessing a Japanese interface, as opposed to the previous version, which used English for both versions. It is noteworthy for introducing the popular character Hatsune Miku. It was succeeded by Vocaloid 3.

Their official moe anthropomorphism consists of a pair of twin vocals, a boy and a girl, respectively named Len and Rin. They use Yamaha Corporation's Vocaloid 2 and Vocaloid 4 singing synthesizing technology. Their voices are samples of the voice actress Asami Shimoda. They have performed at live concerts together, as they are each other's mirror image.
Megpoid is a Vocaloid by Internet Co., Ltd. Her voice is sampled by Megumi Nakajima. The mascot of the software is called Gumi . She is also sometimes called Megpoid GUMI, or GUMI Megpoid.

SeeU is a female Korean vocal created for the Vocaloid 3 software by SBS A&T and was the only Korean vocal released for that version of the software. As well as a Korean vocal, she possessed a Japanese vocal. The voice behind her is Dahee Kim from the band GLAM.
Hiyama Kiyoteru (氷山キヨテル) is a masculine vocaloid character produced by AH-Software Co. Ltd and released originally for Vocaloid 2. His voice is provided by Japanese male singer Kiyoshi Hiyama.
Kaai Yuki (歌愛ユキ) is a child vocaloid character produced by AH-Software Co. Ltd and released originally for Vocaloid 2.
