Anthony Ian Christopher Dodemaide OAM (born 5 October 1963) is an Australian former test cricketer. After a three-year stint as Chief Executive of the Western Australian Cricket Association in Perth,he became the current chief executive of Cricket Victoria. He is currently a selector for the Australian men's national team. [1]
He took 534 first-class wickets for Victoria and Sussex. He also took a five-wicket haul on both his Test and One Day International (ODI) debuts. [2]
Dodemaide began his career as a fast-bowling all-rounder and competed in 10 Tests and 24 One Day Internationals for Australia. Despite healthy batting and bowling averages for an all-rounder at test level (23 and 28 respectively),Dodemaide only made ten Test appearances. On his debut,he took six wickets in the second innings against New Zealand in Melbourne in 1987. [3]
He joined the WACA in May 2004 after five years as the Head of Cricket for the Marylebone Cricket Club. Prior to the MCC position,he was Manager of Corporate Marketing at the Melbourne Cricket Club. In October 2021,he joined the Cricket Australia panel of selectors. [5]
In the 2022 Australia Day Honours,he was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for "service to sports administration,and to cricket". [6]
Deshabandu Muttiah Muralitharan is a Sri Lankan cricket coach,businessman and former professional cricketer. Averaging over six wickets per Test match,he is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. He is the only bowler to take 800 Test wickets and more than 530 One Day International (ODI) wickets. As of 2024,he has taken more wickets in international cricket than any other bowler. Muralitharan was a part of the Sri Lankan team that won the 1996 Cricket World Cup.
Courtney Andrew Walsh OJ is a former Jamaican cricketer who represented the West Indies from 1984 to 2001,captaining the West Indies in 22 Test matches. He is a fast bowler and considered one of the all-time greats,best known for a remarkable opening bowling partnership along with fellow West Indian Curtly Ambrose for several years. Walsh played 132 Tests and 205 ODIs for the West Indies and took 519 and 227 wickets respectively. He shared 421 Test wickets with Ambrose in 49 matches. He held the record of most Test wickets from 2000,after he broke the record of Kapil Dev. This record was later broken in 2004 by Shane Warne. He was the first bowler to reach 500 wickets in Test cricket. His autobiography is entitled "Heart of the Lion". Walsh was named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1987. In October 2010,he was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. He was appointed as the Specialist Bowling Coach of Bangladesh Cricket Team in August 2016.
Deshabandu Sanath Teran Jayasuriya,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and captain,who is widely regarded as one of the greatest ever to play the game. A left arm opening batsman,an orthodox spinner and a dynamic fielder,Jayasuriya together with his opening partner Romesh Kaluwitharana is credited for having revolutionized one-day international cricket with his explosive batting in the mid-1990s,which initiated the hard-hitting modern-day batting strategy of all nations. He was a key member of the Sri Lankan team that won 1996 Cricket World Cup. Under his captaincy Sri Lanka become joint champions along with India in the 2002 Champions Trophy.
Herath Mudiyanselage Rangana Keerthi Bandara Herath,known as Rangana Herath,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer,who played all forms of cricket game and a former Test cricket captain for Sri Lanka. Herath is the most successful left arm bowler in Test cricket history. He worked as spin bowling consultant with the Bangladesh cricket team. Herath was a member of the Sri Lankan team that won the 2014 ICC World Twenty20.
Abdul Qadir Khan SI was an international cricketer who bowled leg spin for Pakistan. Abdul Qadir is widely regarded as a legendary leg spinner from the 1970s and 1980s and was a role model for up and coming leg spinners. Qadir was voted the best player in the Group B matches of the 1987 Cricket World Cup and won a car which he donated to Imran Khan for his Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre project. Later he was a commentator and Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board,from which he resigned in 2009 due to differences of opinion with leading Pakistan cricket administrators.
Joseph Ravindran Ratnayeke,is a Sri Lankan businessman and former cricketer who was ODI captain of Sri Lanka national cricket team. Ratnayeke played 22 Tests and 78 ODIs from 1982 to 1990,his Test best bowling performance of eight wickets for 83 runs at Jinnah Stadium (Sialkot) Pakistan was a Sri Lankan Test record at the time,and was also vice captain to Arjuna Ranatunga.

Samit Rohit Patel is an English cricketer. A right-handed batsman and a slow left-arm bowler,he plays first-class cricket for Derbyshire County Cricket Club. Patel made his One Day International debut for England in August 2008,however was later dropped from the side after failing to meet fitness levels. After an absence of 2+1⁄2 years,he returned to the ODI side in 2011 and made his Twenty20 International debut,before becoming the 651st player to represent England at Test cricket by winning his first cap on the tour of Sri Lanka in 2012.
Graeme Fredrick Labrooy is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played in nine Test matches and 44 One Day International from 1986 to 1992. He was the chairman of selectors for the national team and currently serves as an international match referee. His younger brother Wendell Labrooy is also a first-class cricketer and match referee. Labrooy holds the unique distinction of never playing any of his nine test matches at home. He had modelled his text book bowling action on Richard Hadlee and he was regarded as a huge fan of Hadlee.
