Torben Grimmel (born 23 November 1975 in Odder) is a Danish sport shooter. Specialising in the ISSF 50m prone rifle event, Grimmel won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He was European Junior Champion in 1995. As of 2023 he has won fourteen ISSF World Cup medals, and two ISSF World Cup finals.

Shooting Career

Grimmel start shooting in 1989, and began competing in 1990. [1] His first international selection was for the 1992 European Junior Shooting Championships where he placed 5th in the Junior Men's Prone Rifle event. [1]

In 1995 he was selected for the all-event European Shooting Championships in Zurich where he won the Junior Men's 50m Prone Rifle. [1]

He competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics, the 2000 Summer Olympics, the 2004 Summer Olympics, the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics. [2] [3] He won the silver medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics. [4] [5]

Pablo Damián Álvarez is an Argentine sport shooter. Apart from his Olympic career, Lowndes has won a total of seven medals in a major international competition, spanning two editions of the Commonwealth Games, and the Oceanian Championships. Christer Mats Roger Hansson is a Swedish sport shooter. He has competed for Sweden in rifle shooting at two Olympics, and has attained numerous top ten finishes in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series and the European Championships, Hansson trains under head coach Stefan Lindblom for the national team, while shooting at Mönsterås SF.

Dick Boschman is a Dutch sport shooter. He has been selected to compete for the Netherlands in two editions of the Olympic Games, and has won a career tally of nine medals in a major international competition, spanning the ISSF World Cup series and the European Championships. Boschman trains full-time under trainer Heinz Reinkemeier (GER) for the national team, while practicing at Oostendorp Shooting Range in his hometown Elburg.

Seonaid McIntosh is a British sports shooter who became the World Champion at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the 50m Prone Rifle event. In 2019 she became Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, winning five World Cup medals. She also became the first British Woman to rank World #1 for the 50m Rifle Three Position event and became European Champion in the 300m Rifle Prone event with an equal World Record score.
