Torsten Wiegel (born 25 April 1967) is a German swimmer. He competed in two events at the 1988 Summer Olympics representing West Germany. [1]

Torsten Ullman was a Swedish pistol shooter and entrepreneur, most famous for his gold medal in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where the Germans were favourites in the free pistol competition but Ullman won by a margin of 15 points. His record score of 559 would still be competitive today in this event. He also won the World Championships in Free Pistol in 1933, 1935, 1937, 1947 and 1952.

Shooting at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin saw the reintroduction of 50 metre pistol but still only had three events. The competitions were held from 6 to 8 August 1936 at the shooting ranges at Wannsee. Germany succeeded only in winning one of the three gold medals; the others went to Scandinavians after great accomplishments: Torsten Ullman won Free Pistol with a margin of 15 points and a new world record, and Willy Røgeberg achieved the maximum score in the Prone event.

The men's 50 metre pistol was a shooting sports event held as part of the Shooting at the 1936 Summer Olympics programme. It was the sixth appearance of the event. The competition was held on 6 and 7 August 1936 at the shooting ranges at Wannsee. 43 shooters from 19 nations competed. Nations were limited to three shooters each, as they had been for all individual shooting events since the 1932 Games. The event was won by Torsten Ullman of Sweden, the nation's first free pistol medal. Erich Krempel of Germany took silver. Charles des Jammonières's bronze was France's first medal in the free pistol since 1900.

Torsten Bréchôt is a retired male judoka from Germany, who competed for East Germany at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. There he won the bronze medal in the Men's Half-Middleweight division after being defeated in the semi-finals by West Germany's eventual silver medalist Frank Wieneke.
