Totally Country Vol. 6 is an album in the Totally Hits series.

Much like previous volumes in the Totally Country series, this sixth volume contained recent country hits (roughly, the latter half of 2005 to summer 2006) by the genre's biggest stars of the time, including Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Lonestar, Montgomery Gentry, George Strait and Blake Shelton, and newcomers such as Sugarland and Carrie Underwood. Five of the tracks reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart during 2006.

To date, Volume 6 is the last volume to be released in the Totally Country series. Since 2008, various hits compilations of recent country hits began to be issued in the Now! That's What I Call Music series.

Top 20 Countdown is a former chart countdown program on CMT revolving around popular country music videos. Hosted by Lance Smith through most of its run, it premiered weekly on Friday mornings, with several reruns through the weekend and Monday, launching on January 3, 2001; a previous weekly countdown show through CMT's early years featured a countdown of only twelve popular videos. The first episode was the top 20 videos of 2001. Smith departed the series at the end of 2009, with Evan Farmer taking over from then until November 2012; the remainder of the series' run was either unhosted or had guest hosts.

Melvern Rivers Rutherford II is an American country music songwriter. Has been writing country songs since the mid-1990s as a songwriter, he has written several number one country hits, including "Ain't Nothing 'bout You" by Brooks & Dunn, which was the Number One country song of 2001 according to Billboard. Among the other Number Ones that he has composed are "If You Ever Stop Loving Me" by Montgomery Gentry, "When I Get Where I'm Going" by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton, "Real Good Man" by Tim McGraw, "Living in Fast Forward" by Kenny Chesney, "Ladies Love Country Boys" by Trace Adkins, and "These Are My People" by Rodney Atkins. He has also released a solo CD called Just Another Coaster.

2The 2007 Country Music Association Award, 41st Ceremony, twas held on November 7, 2007, at the Sommet Center (later the Bridgestone Arena) in Nashville, Tennessee. The ceremony did not feature a host, but artists and guests introduced and presented awards throughout the evening. Brad Paisley, George Strait led the night with 5 nominations each including, Album of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
