Touch Pets: Dogs was a game for Apple's iPhone. It was a social, virtual reality game where players could create their own pet dogs and take care of them like real pets, including introductory material to basic canine budgetary politics. Producer Rod Kiewiet reportedly assigned each student in his political science class, PS 141a, to play Touch Pets: Dogs for homework in order to drive up popularity in its waning years. [1] In 2013, Ngmoco shut down the servers for Touch Pets Dogs and the game was removed from the App Store. [2]
Ngmoco, LLC was an American-based publisher of video games for the iOS and Android platforms, and a subsidiary of DeNA Co., Ltd. The company was founded by former Electronic Arts executive Neil Young in July 2008. Since its founding, ngmoco has had more than seven million combined game installs. Venture capital firms Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Norwest Venture Partners, among others, have financed the company with a combined total of US$40.6 million. The company is most well known for their publishing of the Rolando game series and Eliminate Pro.
Real Racing is a 2009 racing game developed and published by Firemint for iOS. It was released on June 8, 2009 for iPhone and iPod Touch, and later a HD version was released for the iPad, which featured improved graphics to take full advantage of the iPad's capabilities. The game was a critical and commercial success, and has led to two sequels; Real Racing 2 in 2010 and Real Racing 3 in 2013.
Real Racing 2 and 2 HD for the iPad release, is a 2010 racing game, developed and published by Firemint for iOS, Android, OS X Lion and Windows Phone 8. It was released on December 16, 2010 for iPhone and iPod Touch, powered by Firemint's own Mint3D engine. A separate iPad version was released on March 11, 2011. On January 11, 2012 Real Racing 2 was confirmed as one of twenty-seven titles to be released on Windows Phone as part of a partnership between Electronic Arts and Nokia. The game is the sequel to 2009's Real Racing, and the download requires a one-time payment. It was a critical and commercial success, and a further freemium sequel, Real Racing 3, was released in 2013.
Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor is a 2009 side-scrolling action-puzzle video game for iOS and Android, developed and published by Tiger Style. The player takes control of a spider who comes to reside in to the deserted Bryce Manor and must spin webs to trap various types of insects, whilst simultaneously ascertaining what happened to the former residents of the manor. The game received critical acclaim and won multiple awards. Originally released in August, a Director's Cut update replaced the original version on the App Store in December. The update added ten levels, twenty-four Game Center achievements, new music, more story elements and an insect. A year after the game's initial release, a HD version was released for the iPad. In 2013, the game was also released for Android. A sequel, Spider: Rite of the Shrouded Moon, was released in August 2015 for iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux.

TouchTone is a 2015 puzzle video game for iOS devices by Mikengreg, a two-person indie game development team made up of Mike Boxleiter and Greg Wohlwend. The player monitors phone calls as part of a government surveillance program to find public threats. The player unlocks chains of emails by completing a series of puzzles wherein a beam is reflected around a room to a set destination. TouchTone's core concept grew from a two-day game jam immediately following their 2012 release of Gasketball, but only found its hacker theme following the mid-2013 Edward Snowden global surveillance disclosures. The tone of TouchTone's story grew from satirical to serious over the course of the game's development.
TouchArcade is a mobile video game website that launched in 2008. Arnold Kim of MacRumors worked on the site and its editor-in-chief was Eli Hodapp from 2009 to 2019.
