Tougher In Alaska is a program on the History Channel that was a part of the network's "American Original Series" lineup. Starring long-time Alaska resident Geo Beach, the program explored the dangerous and extraordinary efforts put forth by Alaskans to perform jobs and provide services in such a remote, large, rugged, and hostile place. The program premiered on May 8, 2008 and aired one 13-episode season. The series was produced by Moore Huntley Productions, whose previous programs include several other programs about Alaska. The Principal Cinematographer was Daniel J. Lyons of Vermont Films.
Each episode featured several related occupations in which Geo Beach joins the workers for a hands-on approach to the unique dangers of performing their job in Alaska, in a manner somewhat similar to the Discovery Channel program Dirty Jobs . The program switched back and forth between these jobs throughout each episode. Beach frequently commented on just how difficult or different life in Alaska can be, not only in the jobs themselves but also in the effort it takes just to get to where he or the fruits of his labor need to go.
The one season of the program, featuring all 13 episodes, became available on DVD on September 30, 2008.
Repeats of the series are currently airing on the digital broadcast network Quest.

Home and Away is an Australian television soap opera. It was created by Alan Bateman and commenced broadcast on the Seven Network on 17 January 1988. Bateman came up with the concept of the show during a trip to Kangaroo Point, New South Wales, where he noticed locals were complaining about the construction of a foster home and against the idea of foster children from the city living in the area. The soap opera was initially going to be called Refuge, but the name was changed to the "friendlier" title of Home and Away once production began. The show premiered with a ninety-minute pilot episode. Since then, each subsequent episode has aired for a duration of twenty-two minutes. Home and Away has become the second longest-running drama series in Australian television, after Neighbours. In Australia, it is currently broadcast from Mondays to Thursdays at 7:00 pm.
Punk'd is an American hidden camera–practical joke reality television series that first aired on MTV in 2003. It was created by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, with Kutcher serving as producer and host. It bears a resemblance to both the classic hidden camera show Candid Camera and to TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes, which also featured pranks on celebrities. Being "punk'd" referred to being the victim of such a prank. New episodes hosted by King Bach and DeStorm Power aired on BET.

World's Toughest Fixes is an American reality series that premiered on the National Geographic Channel on September 28, 2008. It featured Sean Riley participating in various "tough fixes"; repairs and renovations done on equipment that is very large or dangerous. Riley is an expert in heavy duty rigging and load bearing, and works with other specialized engineers to tackle these uniquely difficult jobs. A first season aired 8 episodes beginning on September 26, 2008. A second season aired 8 episodes beginning on June 4, 2009. A third season of 7 episodes aired beginning May 6, 2010. A fourth season aired beginning September 30, 2010. The first season DVD contains 10 episodes, 2 of which aired in season 2. The second season DVD contains 11 episodes, 5 of which aired in season 3.

After airing seven seasons, the series launched a spin-off series called Hotel Impossible: Showdown in which four hoteliers of a pre-selected region that visit and judge each other's establishments for the highest ranking and a prize of $25,000. During season 8, another spin-off series called Hotel Impossible: Five Star Secrets began airing. In it, Melchiorri visits luxury resorts, learns what makes them special, and awards a $5,000 super tip to a deserving staff member. The show was not renewed for a new season in 2018 and is "no longer in active production".
