TowerMadness is a 3D tower defense strategy game for iOS and Android, developed by Limbic Software. Three iOS versions of TowerMadness exist: TowerMadness, the original version released on May 23, 2009; [1] TowerMadness Zero, the ad-enabled version released on October 25, 2009; [2] and TowerMadness HD, the version enhanced for iPad that includes split-screen multiplayer mode released on May 23, 2010. [3] The Android version of TowerMadness launched for Google Play on December 5, 2013. On January 23, 2014, Limbic released the sequel to TowerMadness, TowerMadness 2 . [4]
The objective in TowerMadness is to defend a base filled with a flock of sheep from waves of aliens by destroying the aliens with diverse weapons in the form of towers. UFOs drop invading aliens on landing pads and the waves of enemies make their way to the base to abduct the sheep. Each wave arrives in 20 second intervals, or all waves of aliens can be sent in at once. The goal of each alien is to abduct one sheep. The player destroys the aliens by building towers. Each enemy destroyed provides the player with more in-game coins to obtain new towers and upgrade existing towers. Once all waves of enemies are destroyed or all sheep have been abducted, the game ends.
There are two game modes: Normal and Endless, in which both contain maps with easy, medium, hard, or madness difficulties to choose from. In Normal mode, there is a set number of enemy waves and a set amount of coins to win. In Endless mode, the waves of enemies are endless. This mode also includes a Sandbox option, which starts off the player with 10,000 coins and a speed boost of adding and upgrading towers before sending the endless waves of aliens.
TowerMadness received generally positive reviews. In August 2009, Wired described the game as “addictive, time-sucking fun”. [5] TowerMadness HD was the winner of the 2011 Pocket Gamer Readers’ Choice iPad Game of the Year. [6]
Espgaluda II (エスプガルーダII) is a bullet hell shoot'em up originally released by Cave in the arcades in 2005 as a sequel to Espgaluda. An Xbox 360 release, titled Espgaluda II Black Label, was released in 2010 in Japan. It was released in September 2021 for the Switch worldwide.
Fieldrunners is a tower defense video game developed for several platforms. Originally released on 1 October 2008 as an exclusive iOS title, the game was later ported to Nintendo DSi, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, and mobile phones. It was released on the Android platform in July 2011, on the Amazon Appstore and Android Market, then on 25 October, where it was ported to HTML5 by Gradient Studios and Bocoup and released on the Chrome Web Store with the first level, Grasslands, playable for free. It is the first release of developer Subatomic Studios.
Flight Control is a time management video game for iOS, Wii, Nintendo DS, Android, and Windows Phone 7 developed by Firemint and first released for iOS on March 5, 2009. The app was a number one bestseller on the App Store in 19 countries simultaneously on April 6, 2009 and has sold over 3.8 million copies. The development and publishing of Flight Control on non-Apple mobile phones is being handled by Namco under license.
Doodle Jump is a platforming video game developed and published by Croatian studio Lima Sky, for Windows Phone, iPhone OS, BlackBerry, Android, Java Mobile (J2ME), Nokia Symbian, and Xbox 360 for the Kinect platform. It was released worldwide for iPhone OS on March 15, 2009, and was later released for Android and Blackberry on March 2, 2010, Symbian on May 1, 2010, Windows Phone 7 on June 1, 2011, and August 21, 2013, on Windows Phone 8. It was released for the iPad on September 1, 2011. Since its release, the game has been generally well received. The game is currently available on nine platforms.
Bloons Tower Defense is a series of tower defense games under the Bloons series created and produced by Ninja Kiwi. The game was initially developed as a browser game, built upon the Adobe Flash platform and released in mid 2007. Later games in the series expanded to support various mobile platforms, including Android, iOS, Windows Phone, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DSi, Windows, Linux and MacOS.
Angry Birds is a 2009 casual puzzle video game developed by Finnish video game developer Rovio Entertainment. Inspired primarily by a sketch of stylized wingless birds, the game was first released for iOS and Maemo devices starting in December 2009. By October 2010, 12 million copies of the game had been purchased from the iOS App Store, which prompted the developer to design versions for other touchscreen-based smartphones, most notably Android, Symbian, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry 10 devices. The series has since expanded to include titles for dedicated video game consoles and PCs. A sequel, Angry Birds 2, was released in July 2015 for iOS and Android. Around April 2019, the original game was removed from the App Store. A recreation of the game's content from 2012 was released as Rovio Classics: Angry Birds on March 31, 2022.

Kingdom Rush is a tower defense game developed by Uruguay-based Ironhide Game Studio and published by Armor Games, released as a free flash browser game on July 28, 2011, on iPad on December 19, 2011, on Android in May 2013, and a Unity port in January 2014 via Steam. A sequel, Kingdom Rush: Frontiers, was released on June 6, 2013. The third installment of the franchise, Kingdom Rush: Origins, was launched on November 20, 2014. It was released on PC on October 18, 2018. On November 22, 2018, Ironhide Studios released a sequel, Kingdom Rush Vengeance, in which the player plays as Vez'nan's servant, helping him regain his throne. The game was released for the Nintendo Switch on July 30, 2020.
Fieldrunners 2 is a tower defense video game, the sequel to Fieldrunners, developed and published by Subatomic Studios. It was released on July 19, 2012, as an iOS title, specifically designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It is the third release from developer Subatomic Studios. A PlayStation Vita version was released in December 2014.

Zombie Gunship is a first-person shooter mobile game with a 3D thermal imaging display, where the player is a gunner who fires at zombies from a heavily armed AC-130 ground attack aircraft circling various user-selected maps. The mobile game was developed by Limbic Software and released July 21, 2011 for Apple’s iOS, September 19, 2013 for Android on the Google Play Store, and October 8, 2013 on Amazon.
Subway Surfers is an endless runner mobile game co-developed by Kiloo and SYBO Games, private companies based in Denmark. It is available on Android, iOS, HarmonyOS, Kindle, and Windows Phone platforms and uses the Unity game engine. In the game, players take the role of young graffiti artists who, upon being caught in the act of "tagging" a metro railway site, run through the railroad tracks to escape from the inspector and his dog. As they run, they grab gold coins, power-ups, and other items along the way while simultaneously dodging collisions with trains and other objects. They can also jump on top of the trains and surf with hoverboards to evade capture until the character crashes into an obstacle, gets caught by the inspector, or gets hit by a train, at which point the game ends. Special events, such as the Season Hunt, can result in in-game rewards and characters.
TowerMadness 2 is a 3D tower defense strategy game, sequel to TowerMadness, for iOS and Android, developed by Limbic Software and released on January 23, 2014. TowerMadness 2 has game controller support.
Glass Tower is a video game that was created by the Ukrainian studio, Gadgetcrafts. The game requires players to destroy a tower by tapping blue blocks in order to remove them, while simultaneously aiming to avoid the red blocks. The first version was released early 2009 on the Apple AppStore.
Monsters Ate My Condo is an iOS tile-matching video game developed by Adult Swim Games and released on September 15, 2011 by PikPok for $0.99. A sequel, Super Monsters Ate My Condo, was released in 2012.
Strikefleet Omega is a hybrid tower defense and real-time strategy video game for iOS, Android, and Fire OS. The player is put in control a small fleet of human ships, the titular Strikefleet Omega, in a series of battles against a race of aliens that have destroyed the Earth. The player must defend their large, immobile ships by dispatching groups of smaller space fighters to fend off alien ships approaching from all directions. In later stages of the game, additional types of fighter and additional weapons become available.
Airport City is a free-to-play city-building simulation game developed and published by Game Insight. Airport City was first launched on the Facebook social media platform on September 1, 2011. The game was released for Google Play on February 11, 2012, and for iOS on August 16, 2012, followed by Amazon Appstore on October 26, 2012, and Microsoft Windows on April 3, 2014. The game features mobile cross-platform play, allowing players on any supported device to cooperate and compete with each other.
