Tower Oaks is a 192-acre planned community in Rockville, Maryland.
In 1987, the city council of Rockville approved plans for the development of the site into an office park. In 1998, Boston Properties, which purchased 84 acres of the site, submitted plans for the construction of the first office building. [1]
In January 2002, Anteon Corporation leased 17,000 square feet at 2600 Tower Oaks Blvd. [2]
In November 2002, Clyde's Restaurant Group opened Tower Oaks Lodge. [3] In 2013, it had more than 450,000 guests. [4]
In 2008, Boston Properties developed One Preserve Parkway in Tower Oaks. [5] The building, which was leased to Booz Allen Hamilton and others, was sold in 2014 for $61.25 million to Federal Capital Partners. [6] [7]
In 2008, Lerner Enterprises and Tower Companies completed 2000 Tower Oaks Blvd and both companies moved their headquarters to the building. The companies had started construction of the building in 2005. [8] The building was the first building in the Washington metropolitan area to receive a platinum rating by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. [9] The building was selected as a runner-up for the best new office development. [10] In 2015, Stanford Grill opened in the building. [11] In 2017, Nika, an architectural firm, moved its headquarters to the building. [12]
In 2015, Boston Properties and EYA proposed developing 375 residential units in Tower Oaks. [13]

Clyde's Restaurant Group is an American company that owns and operates 11 restaurants in the Washington metropolitan area. Founded in 1963 to take advantage of a change in Washington, D.C.'s liquor laws, it pioneered a number of changes in the way restaurants in the district operated. In 1970, it purchased the oldest restaurant in the district, Old Ebbitt Grill. The company has since expanded its namesake "Clyde's" restaurant into a small chain, as well as opened and purchased other restaurants. In 2019, the company was acquired by Graham Holdings.

Russia Wharf is a completed high-rise building in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. The building rises 436 feet (133 m) and contains 32 floors. Construction began in 2006 and was finished in early 2011; as such, the structure is one of the most recently completed high-rises in the city. Russia Wharf now stands as the 31st-tallest building in the city. The architectural firm that designed the building is Childs Bertman Tseckares Inc., of Boston, Massachusetts. The civil engineer, also responsible for managing permitting was Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. of Watertown, Massachusetts. The mixed use project includes approximately 709,000 square feet (65,900 m2) of class-A commercial office space and 65 residential units. The site consists of approximately 2.2 acres (8,900 m2). From about 1897 to 2007, the site contained three low-rise mercantile buildings called the Russia, Graphic Arts, and Tufts Buildings. The office tower is being constructed on the site of the Graphic Arts and Tufts Buildings. As of 2009, Boston Properties has begun to refer to the building as Atlantic Wharf.
Renaissance Tower is a 113 m (371 ft) skyscraper in Sacramento, California, completed in 1989. The 28 story tower was the tallest in the city when completed, and is now the fifth. At one time owned by USAA Real Estate Company, the building was sold in January 2016 to GPT Properties Trust of Maryland.
The Old Naval Observatory is a historic site at 23rd and E Street in Northwest, Washington, D.C. It is where the United States Naval Observatory was located from 1844 to 1893, when it moved to its present grounds. The original observatory building, built 1839-40, still stands, and is a designated National Historic Landmark. The Washington meridian of 1850 passes through the Observatory. The property for many years housed the Navy's Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, which moved out in 2012. The property has been taken over by the State Department.
