Tracey Perkins (born August 28, 1968) is a former American football defensive back in the Arena Football League (AFL). He played college football at Lamar. Perkins was the 1997 Arena Football League Defensive Player of the Year Award winner. [1]
Perkins played for the Tampa Bay Storm and San Jose SaberCats.
Perkins attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, where he lettered as a member of the football team during the 1985–1988 seasons. [2]

He spent four seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs, during which he played in nine games all during the strike-shortened 1987 season. He played three games as a "scab" for Denver, the year they went to Super Bowl XXII, but he was ineligible to share in the bonus as he resigned with the Chiefs. A regular starter for the Kats in 2006, Herron played a total of 26 games in the Arena Football League.
