Trachysomus fragifer is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by William Kirby in 1818. It is known from Paraguay and Brazil. [1]
Jack Kirby, was an American comic book artist, writer and editor, widely regarded as one of the medium's major innovators and one of its most prolific and influential creators. He grew up in New York City and learned to draw cartoon figures by tracing characters from comic strips and editorial cartoons. William Kirby was an English entomologist, an original member of the Linnean Society and a Fellow of the Royal Society, as well as a country rector, so that he was an eminent example of the "parson-naturalist". He is considered the "founder of entomology".

Kirby is an action-platform video game series developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo.
