TrapStar Turnt PopStar is the second and final studio album by American rapper and singer PnB Rock. The last album to be released during his lifetime, it was released as a double album on May 3, 2019, through Atlantic Records. It features guest appearances from the late XXXTentacion, Lil Durk, Tee Grizzley, Quavo, Mally Mall, Diplo, Lil Skies, Tory Lanez, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. The deluxe edition of the album was released three days later on May 6, 2019. It features additional guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Roddy Ricch, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. [2] The album debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200.
The album is split into two sides; The TrapStar and The PopStar; the former "focuses more on his humbling upbringing in the skin-toughening streets of Philly", whereas the latter "showcases the life he lives now as he finally celebrates and enjoys the fruits of his labor". PnB Rock stated that he wanted to do a double album "so you get both sides of me. That was me then, and this is me now. You know, you see the growth and the level up." [3] He also held a listening party for the album in Philadelphia. [4]
TrapStar Turnt PopStar debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 with 42,000 album-equivalent units (including 2,000 pure album sales) in its first week. [5] It is PnB Rock's first US top ten debut. [5] The album also accumulated a total of 45.73 million on-demand audio streams for its songs in its debut week. [5]

Canadian rapper and recording artist Tory Lanez has released seven studio albums, Twenty mixtapes, four extended plays (EP), eighty-nine singles and more than eighty music videos. In 2009, Lanez began his career by releasing his debut mixtape, T.L 2 T.O. He received major recognition from the mixtape, Conflicts of My Soul: The 416 Story, released in August 2013, which included guest appearances from Roscoe Dash and Kirko Bangz. In 2014, he released Lost Cause which led to his first tour, the Lost Cause tour. Lanez collaborated with the WeDidIt collective on the Cruel Intentions EP in 2015. In 2014, he signed a record deal with Think It's A Game Entertainment and released his debut mixtape, Wish Me Well. In 2016, he released his second mixtape, Wish Me Well 2, which included the hit single "Key to the Streets". His debut extended play, Long Live Nut, was released in 2017 and peaked at number 27 on the Billboard 200 chart. The EP's first single "Everyday We Lit", has peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became his highest charting single to date.

He has produced hit singles like "Butterfly Effect" by Travis Scott, "Back on Road" by Gucci Mane, "Nice for What" by Drake, "Motorsport" by Migos, and "Fefe", which was a collaboration between Murda, 6ix9ine, and Nicki Minaj.
Rakim Hasheem Allen, better known by his stage name PnB Rock, was an American rapper and singer. He gained a large following in 2016 with his song "Selfish", which peaked at number 51 on the US Billboard Hot 100, as well as his feature on the song "Cross Me" by Ed Sheeran, alongside Chance the Rapper. He also provided uncredited vocals on XXXTentacion's hit single "Changes", which reached the top 20 on the same chart.
GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions is the fourth mixtape by American rapper and singer PnB Rock. It was released on January 13, 2017, by Empire Distribution and Atlantic Records. Originally marketed as the rapper's debut studio album, Rock later announced that his official debut studio album is the upcoming Catch These Vibes project, presumably meaning that GTTM: Going Thru the Motions is truly a mixtape.
