Traverse Anatole Le Goff (born 5 August 1983) is a South African actor and politician who has served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa since November 2022. As a member of the Democratic Alliance,South Africa's official opposition,Le Goff had previously served as a Councillor of the City of Cape Town.
Le Goff was born in Johannesburg,Gauteng and he grew up in Northcliff and on the Atlantic Seaboard in Cape Town. [1] Le Goff matriculated from Northcliff High School. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics,Philosophy and Economics,and is completing an honours degree in International Politics from the University of South Africa. [2]
In November 2021,Le Goff was elected to the City of Cape Town council as a proportional representation councillor for the DA. [3] He served on the Energy Portfolio Committee as well as the Future Planning and Resilience Portfolio Committee. [2] In his capacity as a representative of the City of Cape Town,Le Goff attended a public hearing on the Climate Change Bill conducted by the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Environment,Forestry and Fisheries in October 2022. [4]
On 10 November 2022,Le Goff was named the replacement for former DA MP Christopher Mario Fry. [5] He was sworn in as a Member of the National Assembly in the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa on 16 November 2022. [6]
Le Goff was appointed an Additional Member on Employment and Labour by DA leader John Steenhuisen on 21 April 2023. [7]
In March 2024, News24 reported that Le Goff had been placed on the DA's candidate list for the Western Cape Provincial Parliament for the general election on 29 May 2024. [8]

Daniel Plato,known as Dan Plato,is a South African politician and a former Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament. He served from June 2011 until October 2018 and again from January 2022 until February 2024. He is the former mayor of Cape Town,a position he held for two nonconsecutive terms from May 2009 until June 2011 and again from November 2018 until October 2021. From June 2011 to October 2018,he was the Western Cape Provincial Minister of Community Safety.
