Tre Mission is a Canadian musician, [1] known as one of the first North American artists to be associated with the predominantly United Kingdom-based grime genre. [2] Tre Mission is a member of the Tizzy Gang grime crew alongside London based MCs Merky ACE and Cadell. [3] [4]

Background

Originally from Toronto, Ontario, [2] he is of Trinidadian and Jamaican descent. [2] After discovering grime and dubstep music through the Internet, he began making his own grime tracks in 2010, and started to attract positive attention in the United Kingdom. [5] Visiting London in 2011, he began working with established grime stars such as Wiley, JME and Skepta, [6] and released his debut EP The Practice Mission. [5]

He released the mixtape Malmaison in 2013, [7] and followed up with the album Stigmata in 2014. [1]

Stigmata includes guest appearances by Wiley, JME, Skepta, Merky Ace, Saukrates, Andreena and k-os. [1] The album was a shortlisted Juno Award nominee for Rap Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2015. [8]

He also featured in a grime clash against Jendor in 2011, on Lord of the Mics (Volume 3).

Grime is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) that emerged in London in the early 2000s. It developed out of the earlier UK dance style UK garage, and draws influences from jungle, dancehall, and hip hop. The style is typified by rapid, syncopated breakbeats, generally around 140 beats per minute, and often features an aggressive or jagged electronic sound. With Boy Better Know, Skepta clashed with fellow MC Devilman for the video release Lord of the Mics 2, in what is remembered as one of the biggest clashes in grime history.

The following is a discography of Skepta, a British MC from Tottenham, London. He is a producer and DJ commonly associated with the North London grime scene, including Roll Deep and Boy Better Know. Skepta released his debut album Greatest Hits on 17 September 2007. It was released on the Boy Better Know label. Skepta self-released the first single "Rolex Sweep" in September 2008, which reached number 89 on the UK Singles Chart. He released the album Microphone Champion on 1 June 2009. The single "Too Many Man", with JME, Wiley, Frisco and Shorty, charted at number 79.

Jahmek Levi Selassie Power, better known by his stage name Jammer, is a British grime MC, rapper, songwriter and record producer, known for being a member of Boy Better Know and a former member of N.A.S.T.Y Crew. Jammer also runs Lord of the Mics, a grime clash series released on DVD and well known in grime.

I'm Back U Know is the first of 3 mixtapes by Tinchy Stryder, It was released on 2 March 2006 on the label Boy Better Know. The mixtape sees Stryder rapping with big-name rappers such as Wiley, Kano and Flow Dan from the grime collective Roll Deep. Featuring 17 original productions with Stryder on the mic from start to finish with tracks including big grime hits such as "I'm Pro", "96 Bars" and "1 of them Days".

Godfather is the eleventh studio album by English grime MC Wiley. It was released on 13 January 2017 through CTA Records, a record label venture between Wiley and Logan Sama and is distributed by Warner Music Group. It succeeds the album Snakes & Ladders (2014), originally announced as Wiley's final album.

Deshane Cornwall, known professionally as Frisco, is a British grime MC, songwriter and record producer who is part of the Boy Better Know (BBK) music label which includes Jme, Skepta, Jammer, among others. He has released three solo albums and a series of mixtapes, guested on tracks by his label mates and established a successful monthly grime event in East London, contributing to the popularity of grime within the UK music scene.

Lord of the Mics is a series of recorded grime clashes, headed by Jammer and Chad 'Ratty' Stennett. Each edition of LOTM features grime MCs participating in recorded clashes, in which they 'battle' each other over grime instrumentals. Various notable grime MCs have participated in Lord of the Mics, such as Skepta, Wiley, Kano, and P Money. LOTM was originally launched in 2004. The first clash to be filmed for LOTM, Wiley versus Kano, was filmed in Jammer's basement. The series was originally only published on DVD. LOTM was the first platform that released filmed grime clashes.
