The Tri-Valley Conference is a school sports league within the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), located in the Saginaw, Bay, and Midland areas of Michigan, United States. [1]

Starting in 2024, Standish-Sterling, Bullock Creek, St. Louis all left to join the Jack Pine Conference. Birch Run left to join the Mid-Michigan Activities Conference and Millington left to join the Big Thumb Conference.

St. Charles left following the 2020 year. Bay City John Glenn joined to replace them.

*Shepherd & Pinconning have announced they will be departing following the 2018-2019 school year. Both schools will join the Jack Pine Conference of northern lower Michigan. After this the TVC went through a re-alignment. The Central and East merged. Midland Bullock Creek, Carrollton, Standish-Sterling, and Millington all moved to the west, and Bay City John Glenn joined the east.

19-20: Carrollton went as high as #4 in the AP Poll.

20-21: Covid shortened season.

20-21: Bridgeport went 10-2 in the conference and coach Kevin Marshall took the Bearcats to the state semis where they lost to Battle Creek Pennfield. Carrollton lost their lone conference game with Hemlock and went to the regional finals before losing to BP, 54-53.

21-22: Freeland went to the Breslin center and lost in the state semis.

Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy, or SASA, is a public, magnet high school and middle school in Saginaw, Michigan. From its founding in the early 1980s until 1999, it was known as the Center for the Arts & Sciences (CAS). During this period, it was a half-day school utilizing a concentration, or major, program to allow students to focus on specialized areas of study, while spending the other half of the day at their home school. In 1999, the name was changed, and SASA became a full day school, allowing students to take other required classes in addition to their concentration.

Swan Valley High School is a public high school located in Thomas Township, Michigan and part of the Swan Valley School District and under the Saginaw ISD. They are part of the Tri-Valley Central Conference. Swan Valley has been part of the Mid-Michigan B, TVC East, TVC West, and the TVC Central conferences since its start in 1971. Swan Valley's original mascot was the Panthers which soon changed to the Vikings. When the new high school was built the mascot needed to be changed because there was already a high school in the area that were panthers. The sports teams of Swan Valley were then divided up between the Vikings and the Valkyries to show individual support for both male and female teams. Later the sports teams were simply called the Vikings and the Lady Vikes.

Richard Gale Rifenburg was an American football player and a pioneering television broadcaster for the forerunner to WIVB-TV in Buffalo. He played college football for the University of Michigan Wolverines in 1944 and from 1946 to 1948. He was a consensus selection at end on the 1948 College Football All-America Team. Rifenburg played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) with the Detroit Lions for one season in 1950. After retiring from football he settled in Buffalo and became a sports broadcaster. He worked as a color commentator and as a play-by-play announcer for the Buffalo Bulls. He hosted various television and radio sports shows and was eventually inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
