Triotech is a manufacturer of out-of-home multi-sensory interactive attractions. Since 2006, TRIOTECH has operated its own studio to develop custom content for its attractions. Founded in 1999, TRIOTECH is a privately held company based in Canada with offices in the US, Europe, and China. Background

Triotech designs, develops, and markets immersive and interactive out-of-home cinemas and platforms, as well as small 3-dimensional movie theaters. They distribute their products under XD Theater, XD DarK Ride, Interactive Dark Ride, Flying Theaters, immersive Walkthroughs, and Typhoon.

In 2006, Triotech opened a Montreal-based 3D animation studio to create custom content, to work in conjunction with the parent company's line of theme park motion rides. [3]

In 2019 Triotech announced the acquisition of a French company CL Corp, forming the largest media-based experiences group in the attractions industry. [5]

XD Theater is a 3D film attraction. When first released, XD Theater included the 3D ride films Cosmic Coaster, Haunted Mine and Arctic Run.[ citation needed ] There are now over 40 3D films in Triotech's XD Theater library. The ultimate immersive ride with real time 3D stereoscopic graphics combined with visual FX for a multi sensory experience, a motion simulated thrill ride that transcends time, space and imagination. XD Dark Ride is an interactive theater using group play, real-time 3D graphics and individual scoring system to create unique, competitive dynamics. This multi-sensory, interactive attraction, designed for the whole family, won IAAPA's prestigious Brass Ring Award for Best New Product in 2013. [6]

It was the second release in the Amusement Dark collection, a branded initiative to construct a variety of video-game-based dark rides at Cedar Fair amusement parks. Wonder Mountain's Guardian was the first in the collection that opened at Canada's Wonderland in 2014.

The Lego Movie: 4D – A New Adventure is a 4-D film attraction based on The Lego Movie, which premiered at Legoland Florida on 29 January 2016 and was rolled out to other Legoland parks and Legoland Discovery Centres. The story features some of the original characters from The Lego Movie who are invited to a theme park called Brick World. The story is enhanced with a variety of 4D sensory effects.

Knott's Bear-y Tales: Return To The Fair is a 4D interactive dark ride located at Knott's Berry Farm theme park in Buena Park, California. Designed by Triotech in conjunction with Knott's Berry Farm, the ride opened to the public on May 21, 2021, and season passholders were given access beginning May 6, 2021. The ride is a follow-up to the defunct dark ride Knott's Bear-y Tales, which operated in the same location from 1975 to 1986. The interactive dark ride features characters Boysenbear and Girlsenbear as they travel to the County Fair and pass through several scenes reminiscent of the original dark ride. Guests board red colored vehicles equipped with boysenberry jelly blasters, and the theme focuses on riders stopping Crafty Coyote and his mischievous pups. The attraction replaced Voyage to the Iron Reef, which permanently closed on January 5, 2020.

A flying theater is a themed entertainment technology and adjacent show style. It is a type of simulator ride which consists of one or several motion systems and a large screen. This type of attraction is also known as panoramic flying theaters. The illusion of flight is created through motion that is synchronized with a film. Sound and special effects are combined with the film to create realistic flying experiences.

<i>Lego City 4D - Officer in Pursuit</i> Short 4D film attraction

Lego City 4D - Officer in Pursuit is a 4-D animated short film attraction based on Lego City. It was released in Legoland California on 12 April 2019 and then rolled out to other Legoland parks and Legoland Discovery Centres in 2019. The film has a runtime of 12 minutes and uses a variety of sensory effects to enhance the experience. The plot focuses on the Lego City police as they pursue a robber in a high-speed chase through the streets of the city. The film was produced by Pure Imagination Studios and distributed by The Lego Group.
