Tukoji Rao Scindia

Tukoji Rao Scindia (after 1727 - 14 January 1761) aka Baba Sahib was the fourth son of Ranoji Rao Scindia and elder brother of Mahadaji Scindia. He was killed at the Third Battle of Panipat, 14 January 1761. He was also father of Kadarji Rao Scindia and Anand Rao Scindia and grandfather of Daulat Rao Scindia.

The Daly College is a co-educational residential and day boarding school located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was founded by Sir Henry Daly of the British Indian Army during India's colonial British Raj, following an English public school model. The school started in 1870 as the Residency School. It was then renamed as the East Rajkumar College in 1876, and in 1882, it came to be known as The Daly College. It was established by the Resident Governor of the erstwhile Presidency, to educate the children of the royalty, nobility and aristocracy of Central Indian Princely States of the 'Marathas', 'Rajputs', 'Mohameddans' and 'Bundelas'. It is one of the oldest co-educational boarding schools in the world.

Sadashivrao Peshwa was son of Chimaji Appa and Rakhmabai and the nephew of Bajirao Peshwa. He was an finance minister during the reign of Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Rajaram II. He served as the Sardar Senapati (Commander-in-Chief) of the Maratha army at the third battle of Panipat.

Ranoji Scindia Sardar

Ranoji Scindia was the founder of the Scindia dynasty. He was a noble subhedar of the Maratha Empire in present-day India. He rose to prominence while serving Bajirao I Peshwa. He was one of the early officers along with Malharao Holkar to help spread the Maratha rule to northern states and was given the estate of Ujjain to rule by the Peshwas, during the reign of the Maratha Emperor Shahu I.

Jayappaji Rao Shinde also known as Jayappa Dadasahib, was a Maratha general. He ruled Gwalior State in northern India from 1745 to 1755, succeeding his father Ranoji Rao Scindia who had founded it.

Dewas Senior Maratha princely state during the British Raj

Dewas Senior was established by Tukoji Rao I Puar during the Maratha conquest of Central India. It was a 15 Gun Salute Maratha princely state. On 12 December 1818 it became a British protectorate.

Kadarji Rao Scindia was the fourth Maharaja of Gwalior State reigning from 1763 to 1764 for a brief period. He became Maharaja of Gwalior after two years of death of Jankoji Rao Scindia in Third battle of Panipat in 1761.

Jankoji Rao Shinde was the third Maharaja of Gwalior State reigning from 1755 to 1761. He became Maharaja of Gwalior after death of his father, Jayappaji Rao Scindia.

Shrimant Sardar Kashi Rao Holkar V Subedar Bahadur, belonging to the Holkar dynasty of the Marathas was the Maharaja of Indore. He was the eldest son of Shrimant Sardar Tukoji Rao Holkar, from his first wife.

Tukoji Rao Holkar Subadar  (Ruler of Indore)

Shrimant Subadar Tukoji Rao I Holkar IV Bahadur, belonging to the Holkar clan of the Marathas was the feudatory of Indore. Tukoji Holkar was the adopted son of Malhar Rao Holkar, he was the second son of Shrimant Tanuji Holkar, a nephew of Malhar Rao Holkar. Thus he was also the grand-nephew of Malhar Rao Holkar. He married two wives. He had four sons Kashi Rao, Malhar Rao II Holkar, Yashwant Rao, Vithoji Rao.

Vithoji Rao Holkar

Shrimant Sardar Vithoji Rao Holkar, was the fourth son of Sardar Tukoji Rao Holkar. He also known as Vithoba.

Amrut Rao was a Maratha noble, and the adopted son of Peshwa Raghunath Rao. In 1803, Yashwant Rao Holkar invaded Pune and deposed his adoptive brother Peshwa Baji Rao II. Subsequently, Holkar set up an ad hoc council nominally headed by Amrut Rao, and ran the Peshwa's government in his name. Holkar also installed Amrut Rao's son Vinayak Rao as the Peshwa to strengthen the legal status of his government, because Vinayak had been adopted by the widow of the deceased Peshwa Madhav Rao II. However, Baji Rao sought assistance from the British East India Company, whose advance forced Amrut Rao and his son to flee Pune. Subsequently, Amrut Rao signed a treaty with the British, agreeing to give up all claims over the Peshwa's office in return for a pension and an estate in Bundelkhand.
