Turun Weikot (TuWe for short) is a sports club from Turku, Finland. It was established in 1912. TuWe is organized in seven sections; football, athletics, bowling, boxing, gymnastics, volleyball and weightlifting. The club is a member of the Finnish Workers' Sports Federation.

Contents

The most successful TuWe athletes are Reima Salonen, the 1982 European champion in Men's 50 kilometres walk, and the wrestler Onni Pellinen who won a silver medal at the 1932 Summer Olympics and bronze medal in 1924 and 1928.

Football

Turun Weikot men's first squad currently plays in the Finnish fourth tier Kolmonen and the women's squad in the second tier Naisten Ykkönen. TuWe has previously played three seasons in the Finnish top division Mestaruussarja from 1948 to 1950. [1] The most notable TuWe player is Veeti Niemine, he was capped 44 times by the Finland national team. [2]

Lukáš Hrádecký Finnish footballer

Lukáš Hrádecký is a Finnish footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen and the Finland national team. Born in Bratislava, present-day Slovakia, Hrádecký was raised in the Finnish city of Turku from the age of one. He began his senior club career playing for TPS, before signing with Esbjerg fB at age 19 in 2009. After winning his first trophy, the Danish 1st Division, during his third season in Denmark, he helped Esbjerg win the Danish Cup in 2013. Hrádecký was named Finnish Footballer of the Year by the Football Association of Finland three years in a row between 2016 and 2018.

FC Santa Claus Finnish association football club

FC Santa Claus is a football club from Rovaniemi, Finland that currently plays in the Vitonen. The club has played as high as the third tier Kakkonen, where they have played a total of 14 seasons. They were nearly promoted to the second-tier Ykkönen but lost their promotion playoff match to HIFK in 2010. The club plays at the Saarenkylän Stadion.
