Tye Warner Bietz (born February 5, 1984 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is a Canadian trap shooter. He is best known for his silver medal win at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Men's Trap Pairs. Bietz teamed up with fellow Canadian Kirk Reynolds to shoot 185, 4 points behind the gold medal winning Australians. [1]
Susan "Sue" Marie Nattrass, is a Canadian trap shooter and medical researcher in osteoporosis. She was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Competing at an elite international level from the 1970s through the 2010s, Nattrass has had multiple appearances, in one or both of trap or double trap, at Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Championships, and Pan American Games. Nattrass is a repeat World Champion and repeat medalist at the Commonwealth Games, World Championships, and Pan American Games. She was the flag bearer for Canada at the 2007 Pan American Games and the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Manavjit Singh Sandhu is an Indian sport shooter who specializes in trap shooting. He is a Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee in 2006 and Arjuna Awardee in 1998. He is a 4 time Olympian, having represented India at the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics, Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics the London 2012 Summer Olympics and the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics. Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range is a shooting range in New Delhi. Spread over 18 acres, it is situated on South Delhi ridges in the backdrop of Adilabad Fort, near the historic Tughlaqabad Fort to its North and Surajkund Lake to its South West. It was first constructed for the 1982 Asian Games in New Delhi, and later rebuilt altogether for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. It was named after Karni Singh, who won the silver medal at the 38th World Shooting Championships at Cairo in 1962 and was the first shooter to be awarded the Arjuna Award in 1961. The reconstruction work started on 25 October 2008 and the project was completed at a cost of Rs. 150 crore in 13 months. It was dedicated to the nation on 31 January 2010 by Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports.
John Nairn Primrose is a Canadian trap shooter who competed at six Olympics from 1968 to 1992. His best position was seventh in the Mixed Trap in the 1972 and 1976 Olympics. John won a gold medal in the 1975 Trap World Championships and 1983 World Championships. A high-light was winning the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton in 1978. He was inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame after winning his first Commonwealth gold medal in New Zealand.
