Tyree Appleby (born September 30, 1998) is an American basketball player for Limoges CSP of the LNB Pro A. He played for the Cleveland State Vikings, Florida Gators and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

College career

After starring at Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Arkansas, Appleby signed with coach Dennis Felton at Cleveland State. After a freshman season where he averaged 11.8 points and 4 assists per game and earned Horizon League all-freshman team honors, the point guard matured into one of the top players in the conference as a sophomore. [1] As a sophomore for the Vikings, he averaged 17.2 points and 5.6 assists, earning second-team All-Horizon League honors.

After Felton was fired, Appleby transferred to Florida following the 2018–19 season. [2] After sitting out a year per NCAA transfer rules, Appleby played two seasons for the Gators, averaging 11.1 points and 3.5 assists per game.

For the 2022–23 season, Appleby chose to play his final season of eligibility playing for coach Steve Forbes at Wake Forest. [3] Early in the season, Appleby signed a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deal with restaurant chain Applebee's, playing off the similarity of his surname to the brand name. [4] Appleby established himself as one of the top players in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), leading the league in both scoring and assists through the last week of February. [5] Appleby passed the 2,000 career point milestone on February 7, 2023. [6]

On July 18, 2023, he signed with Limoges CSP of the LNB Pro A. [7]

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's basketball team represents Wake Forest University in NCAA Division I college basketball and competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Jeffrey Demarco Teague is an American former professional basketball player who is the head coach for Pike High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for five teams between 2009 and 2021, including seven seasons with the Atlanta Hawks. Since retiring in 2021, he has worked as regional scout for the Hawks. Teague played college basketball for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons before being selected 19th overall in the 2009 NBA draft by the Hawks. He made an appearance as an NBA All-Star in 2015 and won an NBA championship in 2021 with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The 2009 Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team represented Wake Forest University during the 2009 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by Jim Grobe during his ninth season at the school and played its home games at BB&T Field. Wake Forest competed in the Atlantic Coast Conference, as they have since the league's inception in 1953. The Deacons finished the season with a record of 5–7 and 3–5 in ACC play. The Deacons missed out on a bowl game for the first time since the 2005 season.
