Tyrone "Ty" Levett (born February 5, 1980) is an American basketball coach and former player who is currently an assistant coach at his alma mater, Alabama State University.
Levett has competed in several different professional teams outside of the United States, including clubs from Sweden and Austria. Levett played college basketball at Alabama State before taking part in workouts for the Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). In Canada, he became one of the league's all-time top scorers. [1] Although he primarily played the small forward position, Levett was also capable of assuming the role of a point guard, shooting guard, and power forward. [2]
Levett returned to Alabama State in the summer of 2018 as an assistant coach. [3]
