UEFA Women's Euro 2013 knockout stage

The knockout stage of the UEFA Women's Euro 2013 was a single-elimination style tournament contested by the eight teams advancing from the group stage of the competition. [1] It began on 21 July 2013 with the quarter-final round, and concluded on 28 July 2013 with the final at the Friends Arena, Solna, to determine the champions.

Contents

In the knockout stage (including the final), if a match was level at the end of 90 minutes, extra time of two periods (15 minutes each) was played. If the score was still level after extra time, the match was decided by a penalty shootout. [1]

The UEFA Women's Euro 2013 final was an association football match on 28 July 2013 at the Friends Arena in Solna, Sweden, to determine the winner of UEFA Women's Euro 2013. The match was won by the defending champions Germany, who earned their sixth consecutive European title – and eighth in total – with a 1–0 win over Norway.

Group A of the UEFA Women's Euro 2013 consisted of Denmark, Finland, Italy and the host nation Sweden. Matches were staged in Gothenburg and Halmstad from 10–16 July 2013.

Group B of the UEFA Women's Euro 2013 consisted of Germany, the reigning champions, Iceland, Netherlands and Norway. Matches were staged in Kalmar and Växjö from 11–17 July 2013.

Group C of the UEFA Women's Euro 2013 consisted of England, France, Russia and Spain. Matches were staged in Linköping and Norrköping from 12 to 18 July 2013.

The UEFA European Championship is one of the major competitive international football tournaments, first played in 1960, whose finals stage has been held every four years, with the sixteenth staging of the competition occurring in 2021.

The 2020–21 UEFA Nations League A was the top division of the 2020–21 edition of the UEFA Nations League, the second season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA. League A culminated with the Nations League Finals in October 2021 to determine the champions of the competition.

Group C of UEFA Euro 2020 took place from 13 to 21 June 2021 in Amsterdam's Johan Cruyff Arena and Bucharest's Arena Națională. The group contained host nation the Netherlands, Ukraine, Austria and North Macedonia.

The knockout phase of UEFA Euro 2020 began on 26 June 2021 with the round of 16 and ended on 11 July 2021 with the final at Wembley Stadium in London, England.

Group F of UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying was one of the ten groups to decide which teams would qualify for the UEFA Euro 2020 finals tournament. Group F consisted of six teams: Faroe Islands, Malta, Norway, Romania, Spain and Sweden, where they played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship</span> International football competition

The 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship was the 24th edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. A total of 16 teams played in the final tournament, and only players born on or after 1 January 2000 were eligible to participate.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification UEFA Group B was one of the ten UEFA groups in the World Cup qualification tournament to decide which teams would qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals tournament in Qatar. Group B consisted of five teams: Georgia, Greece, Kosovo, Spain and Sweden. The teams played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format.

The 2021 season is the 124th season of competitive football in Sweden. The men's team will be attempting to qualify for the World Cup 2022, and the women's team will be attempting to qualify for the Women's World Cup 2023.

The 2022–23 UEFA Nations League B was the second division of the 2022–23 edition of the UEFA Nations League, the third season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA.
