The USA Team Handball College National Championships is a team handball tournament to determine the Men's and Women's College National Champion from the United States.
Prior to 1996, the highest placing college team at USA Team Handball Nationals was recognized as College Champion. After the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games the College Nationals were founded. [1]
Army has the most collegiate championships of any school, with a combined 62 between the men's and women's teams.
Record champion is Army with, at minimum, 37 titles. The college has also the most continuous titles with fifteen from 2007 until now. Army has the most titles with at least 37. The college has also the most consecutive titles with 15, an active streak which began in 2007.

The UCLA Bruins are the athletic teams that represent the University of California, Los Angeles. The Bruin men's and women's teams participate in NCAA Division I as part of the Big Ten Conference and the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF). The team under Bengt Johansson, nicknamed Bengan Boys in Sweden, is regarded as one of the finest national teams in the history of the sport with players like Tomas Svensson, Staffan Olsson, Magnus Wislander and Stefan Lövgren. From 1990 through 2002 the team reached the medal round in every championship and qualified for a record 8 championship finals in a row 1996–2002.

Viborg HK is a Danish professional handball club from Viborg. The North Carolina Tar Heels are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The name Tar Heel is a nickname used to refer to individuals from the state of North Carolina, the Tar Heel State. The campus at Chapel Hill is referred to as the University of North Carolina for the purposes of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The TCU Horned Frogs are the athletic teams that represent Texas Christian University. The Air Force Falcons are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the United States Air Force Academy, located in El Paso County, Colorado north of Colorado Springs. The athletic department has 17 men's and 10 women's NCAA-sanctioned teams. The current athletic director is Nathan Pine. The majority of Falcon teams compete as members of the Mountain West Conference.

Ulrik Wilbek is a Danish politician and former professional handball coach who is the incumbent Mayor of Viborg Municipality, serving in office since 2018. He is the most successful Danish team handball coach ever, having won two European Men's Handball Championship and two European Women's Handball Championships, one IHF World Women's Handball Championship and one Olympic gold medal with the women.
The Willamette Bearcats are the athletic teams of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, United States. Competing at the non-scholarship National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III level, the school fields twenty teams. Most teams compete in the Northwest Conference with their primary rivals being Linfield College. The main athletic venues of the school are McCulloch Stadium, Cone Field House, and Roy S. "Spec" Keene Stadium. Willamette moved to the NCAA's Division III in 1998 after previously being a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) institution. The 1993, men's basketball team won the school's only team national championship, while the 1997 football team lost in the national championship game.

The IHF Men's Handball World Championship has been organized indoor by the International Handball Federation since 1938.
West Point Team Handball is a handball club from West Point, New York, United States. They are the handball team of the United States Military Academy. They play with four teams at various competitions. There are two teams for each gender. The West Point Black team is the first team and the West Point Gold team is the second team. They have won the most College National Championships in their collegiate league with the men's team winning 38 College National Championships, with their 16th consecutive College National Championship in 2024 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Three past members have competed in the Summer Olympics for Team USA to include Peter Lash (’81) - 1984 & 1988 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and Korea; LTC (R) Craig Gilbert (’78) - 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and Mike Thornberry (’93) - 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Many other players have competed for the USA National Team.
