USL Palm Beach is an upcoming American professional soccer team based in Palm Beach County, Florida. Founded in 2023, the team plans to make its debut in the USL Championship for the men's squad and the USL Super League for the women's.

History

On December 14, 2023, the USL awarded an expansion team to Palm Beach County, Florida for its men's and women's leagues. [1] [2] The ownership group consists of Nacho Figueras and Delfina Blaquier. The club will play on the grounds of a stadium to be determined.

The Coastal Cup is a trophy and soccer competition among the USL Championship (USL) teams based in Florida. Established in 2010, the trophy was originally awarded to the best team in regular season play among Florida-based franchises. The Fort Lauderdale Strikers did not field a team in 2017 and were later dissolved. The Tampa Bay Rowdies also participated in this cup from 2010 though 2016, before leaving the NASL for the USL.
