The Indian National Congress (INC),colloquially the Congress Party or simply the Congress,is a political party in India with deep roots in most regions of India. Founded on 28 December 1885,it was the first modern nationalist movement to emerge in the British Empire in Asia and Africa. From the late 19th century,and especially after 1920,under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi,the Congress became the principal leader of the Indian independence movement. The Congress led India to independence from the United Kingdom,and significantly influenced other anti-colonial nationalist movements in the British Empire.
Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was an Indian politician who served as the 11th vice president of India. He served in that position from August 2002,when he was elected to a five-year term by the electoral college following the death of Krishan Kant,until he resigned on 21 July 2007,after losing the presidential election to Pratibha Patil. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan three times,from 1977 to 1980,1990 to 1992 and 1993 to 1998. He represented several constituencies in Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha from 1952 to 2002. He was also awarded Padma Bhushan in the year 2003.
Devi Lal,also known as Chaudhary Devi Lal,was an Indian statesman and politician who served as 6th Deputy Prime Minister of India from 1989 to 1990 and from 1990 to 1991. Lal emerged as farmer leader from the state of Haryana,and served as the Chief Minister of Haryana from 1977 to 1979 and then from 1987 to 1989. He was the founder of Indian National Lok Dal. He was popularly known as Tau,meaning uncle.

He was the Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from 1999 to 2004 and a three-time Leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Digvijaya Singh is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. He is Ex-General Secretary of the Indian National Congress party's All India Congress Committee. Previously,he had served as the 14th Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh,a central Indian state,for two terms from 1993 to 2003. Prior to that he was a minister in Chief Minister Arjun Singh's cabinet between 1980 and 1984. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections he was defeated by Pragya Singh Thakur for Bhopal Lok Sabha seat.

Pratapgarh district is the 33rd district of Rajasthan,created on 26 January 2008. It is a part of Udaipur Division and has been carved out from the erstwhile tehsils of Chittorgarh,Udaipur and Banswara districts. Pratapgarh town is the administrative headquarters of the district.
C. P. Joshi is an Indian politician and a five-time MLA from Nathdwara,Rajasthan. He was born in a Brahmin family in Nathdwara,Rajasthan and he is a member of the Indian National Congress. He is the current Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Previously,he was the Member of Parliament of India from Bhilwara in the 15th Lok Sabha. He was one of the first 19 members of India's new cabinet sworn in on 22 May 2009,despite being a first-time member of the Lok Sabha. As a union minister,Joshi held key portfolios like Road Transport and Highways,and Rural Development and Panchayati Raj in the Second Manmohan Singh ministry. Moreover,he was also a Cabinet Minister of the Government of Rajasthan from 1998 to 2003.
The National People's Party is a national-level political party in India,though its influence is mostly concentrated in the state of Meghalaya. The party was founded by P. A. Sangma after his expulsion from the NCP in July 2012. It was accorded national party status on 7 June 2019. It is the first political party from Northeastern India to have attained this status.

Murari Lal Meena is an Indian politician,serving as a member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Dausa Constituency since 2018. He previously served as an MLA from the Bandikui constituency from 2003 to 2008 and subsequently from the Dausa constituency from 2008 to 2013. He is also a former cabinet minister and minister of state in the Government of Rajasthan. Meena had fielded his wife as a Congress candidate against Jaskaur Meena,the BJP candidate from Dausa in the 17th Lok Sabha elections of India,but she lost the election. Meena is considered a supporter of Sachin Pilot. In 2024 Indian general election,Meena is the candidate of the Indian National Congress from Dausa.
Shri Parsadi Lal Meena is an Indian politician and Former Cabinet Minister of Health &State Excise in Ashok Gehlot ministry and also member of 8th,9th,10th,11th,13th and 15th Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan. He also served as Minister of Cooperative and Food Supply for two terms (1998–2003) and (2008–2013). And currently he represents Lalsot Assembly constituency as a member of Indian National Congress.
Rajasthan is a state in northern India. It shares its western boundary with Pakistan and Gujarat to the southwest,Madhya Pradesh to the southeast,Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to the northeast,and Punjab to its north. The state encompasses a total area of 342,239 square kms.
