Satgaon is a locality in eastern part of Guwahati surrounded by localities of Narengi, Noonmati and Patharquarry. Located in south east of city, it is thinly populated and less industrialised.

Narengi human settlement in India

Narengi is a locality in Guwahati. Located in the extreme east of city, it is sparsely populated. An army camp is located in southern part of the locality. There is a railway station on the southern part which is near to the Assam State Electricity Board colony. Narengi railway station is used only for halting trains coming from north-eastern states. All the trains connecting the districts of Eastern Assam passes through this station. It comes under Noonmati Police Station. The Pin code of Narengi is 781026.

Mayur Vihar is a residential area in East Delhi close to the Noida-Delhi border, situated just across the Yamuna River, and is divided into three distinct phases. As the name suggests, it may have been the dwelling (vihar) of the peacock (mayur).
