Udita Goswami (born 9 February 1984) [1] [2] is a former Indian actress who worked in Hindi cinema. She has been married to film director Mohit Suri since 2013, making her a part of the Bhatt family.
Goswami was born in Dehradun. [3] Her father is from Banaras and her mother is from Shillong. [4] Goswami's grandmother is Nepalese. She completed her education in Dehradun where she studied at Cambrian Hall and D.A.V. Public school until class 9. [5]
After a few years of dating, Goswami married Mohit Suri in 2013. They have two children, a daughter born in 2015 and a son born in 2018. [6] [7] She is the sister-in-law of actors Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Emraan Hashmi. [8]
Goswami started her career as a model and later began acting in Hindi films.
At 16, I walked the ramp in Dehradun for a fashion institute. After that, I shifted to Delhi to pursue my career in modelling, I sent some pictures which were taken at home to an MTV Model Mission contest. I was selected and won. Slowly, I started getting more assignments and did a lot of commercials. I became one of the top models in Delhi. I was the first one to appear on the cover of Elle magazine. [9]
She worked as a model for brands like Pepsi, Titan Watches and debuted in Bollywood opposite John Abraham with Paap , which was also Pooja Bhatt's directorial debut. She later starred in Zeher opposite her brother-in-law Emraan Hashmi and Aksar opposite Dino Morea. She also appeared with Upen Patel in Ahmed Khan's music video for the remix of Kya Khoob Lagti Ho. In 2012, she played the lead role in Diary of a Butterfly directed by Vinodh Mukhi which released to unfavorable reviews [11]

Awarapan (transl. Vagrancy) is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language neo-noir action drama film directed by Mohit Suri and written by Shagufta Rafique, from a story by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Mukesh Bhatt. It stars Emraan Hashmi, Shriya Saran, Mrinalini Sharma, and Ashutosh Rana. In the film, gangster Shivam Pandit (Hashmi) is ordered by his boss Bharat Malik (Rana) to watch over Reema (Sharma), Malik's secret Pakistani mistress. It was flop at the time of its release but over the years the film has attained a cult status, primarily due to Hashmi's performance. An uncredited remake of the South Korean film A Bittersweet Life, Awarapan was theatrically released in India and worldwide on 29 June 2007. Despite receiving positive reviews from critics, it was a commercial failure, but eventually came to be regarded as one of Hashmi's best works. The film was praised for the cast performance, musical scores, songs, action sequences, plot and dialogues. But the film got less runtime due to excessive and brutal violence in the film.
Raaz: The Mystery Continues, shortened as RTMC, is 2009 Indian Hindi-language supernatural horror film directed by Mohit Suri and starring Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Adhyayan Suman as well as Jackie Shroff in a special appearance. The film is the second installment in the Raaz series, but the story-line is not a direct sequel to the 2002 film Raaz. The film deals with issues of the ghosts which are allegedly prevalent in India and the world around us. The film attempts to challenge one's beliefs about paranormal phenomena. Emraan Hashmi plays a painter, named Prithvi, who has an extraordinary gift, the ability to paint the future. His paintings tell Nandita's future.

The film is alleged to be based on the 2008 South Korean film The Chaser, though Bhatt denied this and said that it was inspired from the 2006 Nithari killings in Noida. The film is remembered for its erotic scenes.
