The Ufa Lenin Museum is a museum devoted to Vladimir Lenin in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia.

The museum was established in 1941 [1] by the Government of Bashkortostan. Lenin visited Ufa twice, in February and June 1900. During the second visit, his wife rented a house with a mezzanine at the corner of Zhandarmskaya (now Krupskaya) and Prison (now Dostoevsky) streets in Ufa, where Lenin lived for almost three weeks. In memory of this stay of Lenin in Ufa, it was decided to organize a museum.

It has been reported that since the museum has transferred to Ufa City Administration museum was under threat of closure in 2015. [2] [3] [4]

The Governor's House is an historic neoclassical building on the corner of Tukayeva Street and Sovetskaya Street, Ufa, the capital city of Bashkortostan, Russia. From the 1860s to the October Revolution of 1917, the house was the residence of the local governor. During the Soviet era, it was initially the headquarters of the Ufa Soviet, and was later occupied by medical institutions. Since 1999, it has housed the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The 2024 Bashkortostan protests are a series of protests started on 15 January 2024 beginning in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, sparked by the authorities initiating a criminal case against the Bashkir environmental activist Fail Alsynov, who was subsequently sentenced to four years in prison. This led to demonstrations in the town of Baymak, where at least 1,000 Bashkir protesters assembled. The protests resulted in clashes with the riot police, who in response deployed tear gas and batons against the protesters. The protests spread into the regional capital of Ufa on 19 January, where 10 people were arrested in response.
