Ukraine has participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since 2006. Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne, formerly UA:PBC, has been responsible for the participation. Ukraine won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012 with the song "Nebo" performed by Anastasiya Petryk. Her sister, Viktoria Petryk, reached 2nd place at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with "Matrosy".
Belarus participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The Belarusian entry for the 2016 contest in Valletta, Malta was selected through a national final organised by the Belarusian broadcaster National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BTRC). A national final of ten competing acts participated in a televised production where the winner was determined by a 50/50 combination of votes from jury members made up of music professionals and a public telephone vote. On 26 August 2016, Alexander Minyonok was selected to represent Belarus with the song "Musyka moikh pobed ".
Ukraine participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016. The Ukrainian entrant for the 2016 contest in Valletta, Malta was selected through a national selection, organised by the Ukrainian broadcaster National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU). The semi-final took place on 13 August 2016, while the final took place on 10 September 2016. The winner was Sofia Rol with the song "Planet Craves For Love".
Belarus participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 which took place in Tbilisi, Georgia on 26 November 2017. The Belarusian entry for the 2017 contest in Tbilisi, Georgia was selected through a national final organised by the Belarusian broadcaster National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BTRC). A national final, which took place on 25 August 2017, saw ten competing acts participating in a televised production where the winner was determined by a 50/50 combination of votes from a jury made up of music professionals and a public telephone vote. Helena Meraai won the national final by receiving the most votes from both the professional jury and televoters and she represented Belarus in Georgia with the song "I Am The One".
Ukraine participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 which will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia on 26 November 2017. Their entrant was selected through a national selection, organized by the Ukrainian broadcaster NTU. The semi-final took place on 8 August 2017, where the 27 eligible submissions performed in front of a jury, and then they chose ten artists to qualify to the final, which took place on 25 August 2017. As a result, Anastasiya Baginska won the Ukrainian selection and got the right to represent Ukraine in Tbilisi, Georgia with the song "Don't Stop ".
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 was the sixteenth edition of the annual Junior Eurovision Song Contest, organised by the Belarusian Television and Radio Company (BTRC) and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). It took place in the Belarusian capital city, Minsk on 25 November 2018 at the Minsk-Arena. It was the second time that the contest was held in Belarus, after it staged the 2010 edition at the same venue.

Poland participated in and won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 which took place on 25 November 2018 in Minsk, Belarus. The Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. Roksana Węgiel was internally selected on 21 September 2018 as the Polish representative, competing with the song "Anyone I Want to Be". She won the contest with a total of 215 points.
Portugal participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 which took place on 25 November 2018 in Minsk, Belarus. The Portuguese broadcaster Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest.
Russia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 which took place on 25 November 2018 in Minsk, Belarus.
Armenia participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 which took place on 25 November 2018 in Minsk, Belarus. The Armenian broadcaster Armenian Public Television (ARMTV) is responsible for organising their entry for the contest.
Malta participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 on 25 November 2018 in Minsk, Belarus. The Maltese entrant for the 2018 contest was selected through a national final, organised by the Maltese broadcaster Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) on 8 September 2018. A total of 16 finalists performed original songs for the first time since 2010. Ela Mangion was chosen to represent the island nation with the song "Marchin' On".
Kazakhstan announced on 25 July 2018 that they would debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 to be held in Minsk, Belarus. The Kazakh broadcaster, Khabar Agency (KA), was responsible for the country's participation in the contest. A televised national selection process was held to select the Kazakh entry.
Israel participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 which took place on 25 November 2018, in Minsk, Belarus. The Israeli broadcaster Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (KAN) was responsible for organising their entry for the contest. This is Israel's third appearance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
France participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019, which took place on 24 November 2019 in Gliwice, Poland. The French broadcaster France Télévisions was responsible for choosing their entry for the contest. Carla was internally selected to represent France in Poland with her song "Bim bam toi" which was released on 11 October 2019.

France participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Warsaw, Poland. The French broadcaster France Télévisions was responsible for choosing their entry for the contest. Valentina was internally selected to represent France in Poland with her song "J'imagine" which was released on 16 October 2020. The song went on to win the competition. This was France's first win at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, and their first win at any Eurovision event since Eurovision Young Dancers 1989.
