UmaSofia Srivastava is an American beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss New Jersey Teen USA 2023. She had previously won Miss Teen USA 2023. Srivastava was the first competitor from New Jersey to have won Miss Teen USA.

Raised in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey, Srisvatava has attended the Academy of Saint Elizabeth, transferring from Parsippany Hills High School after ninth grade. [1]

Miss Teen USA 2023

After winning Miss New Jersey Teen USA, Srivastava represented New Jersey and won Miss Teen USA 2023 in Reno, Nevada, on September 28, 2023. [2] [3] She became the first titleholder of Mexican-Indian American descent and the second consecutive titleholder of Indian descent after Faron Medhi of Nebraska won in 2022. [4] [5] [6] [7] On May 7, 2024, she resigned her Miss Teen USA title, stating that her values "no longer fully align with the direction of the organization". [8] [9]

Miss USA is an American beauty pageant that has been held annually since 1952 to select the entrant from United States in the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Organization operated both pageants, as well as Miss Teen USA, until 2020, when the organization announced it was licensing operation of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants to Crystle Stewart, Miss USA for 2008 prior to her suspension in October 2022, thus returning the said pageants to the Miss Universe Organization.

The parent company of all three pageants and the Miss Universe organization remains the same under the licensing agreement: JKN Metaverse Inc., a subsidiary of JKN Global Group.

Miss Teen USA 2023 was the 41st Miss Teen USA pageant, held on September 28, 2023 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Faron Medhi of Nebraska crowned UmaSofia Srivastava of New Jersey as her successor at the end of the event. Her win was the first win for New Jersey and the first back-to-back titleholders with Indian ancestry in Miss Teen USA's history. Srivastava resigned the title on May 7, 2024. Following Srivastava's resignation, first runner-up Stephanie Skinner declined to take over the role, leaving the position vacant.
