Un Lujo (stylized as Un Lu*Jo) is a collaborative Studio album released by Mexican recording artists Lucero and Joan Sebastian,which was released on 22 May 2012,by Skalona Records. Sebastian wrote and produced all tracks included,four performed by him,four songs by Lucero and three duets recorded by both.
Un Lujo debuted in the top five in the Billboard Top Latin Albums in the United States and within the top forty in Mexico. The lead album single –the duet "Caminar Contigo" –went on to chart in the top twenty of the Billboard Latin Songs and the second single,"Diséñame",performed by Sebastian also charted in Mexico and the United States. The album was nominated for a 2013 Billboard Mexican Music Award.
Mexican singer Lucero and fellow Mexican singer-songwriter Joan Sebastian were both signed to the same record label (Musart Records) during the 80s,and Lucero recorded songs written by Sebastian on her albums Fuego y Ternura (1985) and Lucerito:Ocho Quince (1988). [1] In 1992,Lucero included on her album Lucero De México Sebastian's song "Llorar" ("Cry") and was released as the lead single from the album reaching top thirty in the Billboard Latin Songs. [2] In 2010,Lucero starred in the telenovela Soy Tu Dueña and was joined by Sebastian on the theme song titled "Golondrinas Viajeras" ("Traveler Swallows") which was later included on Sebastian's album Huevos Rancheros (2011). While shooting the telenovela Por Ella Soy Eva in March 2012,Lucero recorded and released "No Me Dejes Ir" ("Don't Let Me Go"),a song that was to be included on the soundtrack,and also revealed that she was still working on a new album to be titled Lujo produced by Joan Sebastian. [4] Two months later the album title was announced as Un LuJo,using the first two letters of the names of both singers. [5] Un Lujo includes four songs recorded by each performer individually and three duets. [5] The song "Diséñame" ("Design Me") was presented by Sebastian at the Festival Acapulco 2012. Sebastian stated that the album is "a representation of the love and admiration we have for each other". [6] [1]
The duet "Caminar Contigo" ("Walk with You") was selected as the album lead single and peaked at number 18 in the Billboard Latin Songs and at number seven in the Regional Mexican Songs chart in the United States. [7] "Diséñame",performed by Sebastian,was released as the second single,peaking at number 13 in the Regional Mexican Songs chart. [8] In Mexico,the song peaked at number 10 on the Top General in the Monitor Latino charts and number 3 in the Mexican Airplay Chart according to Billboard International chart. [9] [10]

In the United States, Un Lujo debuted and peaked at number four in the Billboard Top Latin Albums, and reached the top of the Regional Mexican Albums chart in the second week. [12] The album peaked at number 24 in Mexican Album Charts, lower than the previous releases by both performers, Indispensable by Lucero (#16) and Huevos Rancheros by Sebastian (#8). José Manuel Figueroa Sr., known professionally as Joan Sebastian, was a Mexican singer and songwriter. Born in Juliantla, Guerrero, he composed more than 1,000 songs, including compositions for artists such as Bronco, Vicente Fernández, Lucero, Pepe Aguilar, and Rocío Dúrcal. The first several years of his career were primarily focused on Soft rock and Latin pop songs, but later focused primarily on regional Mexican music, specifically banda, mariachi, and norteño. Throughout his career, he also recorded various country songs in Spanish. Sebastian was awarded seven Latin Grammy Awards and five Grammy Awards, making him the most awarded Mexican performer in Grammy history.
"No Me Ames" is a Latin pop duet recorded by American singers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony for Lopez's debut studio album, On the 6 (1999). It is a Spanish cover version of the Italian song "Non Amarmi", written by Giancarlo Bigazzi, Marco Falagiani and Aleandro Baldi and recorded by Baldi and Francesca Alotta for Baldi's album Il Sole (1993). The song was translated into Spanish by Ignacio Ballesteros at Anthony's request. Two versions of the song were produced for On the 6; one as a ballad and the other as a salsa. The ballad version was produced by Dan Shea, while the salsa version was arranged and produced by Juan Vicente Zambrano. The music video was directed by Kevin Bray and received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Short Form Music Video. It served as the encore during the couple's co-headlining tour in 2007.

México en la Piel is the sixteenth studio album by Mexican singer Luis Miguel. Released on 9 November 2004 by Warner Music Latina, it is Miguel's first mariachi album. The record contains thirteen mariachi covers, accompanied by the Vargas de Tecalitlán folk ensemble. Armando Manzanero was its musical director, and Miguel its producer. The album was recorded at Ocean Way Recording in Hollywood, California in July 2004. Para Siempre is the 79th studio album released by Mexican singer Vicente Fernández on September 18, 2007, by Sony BMG Norte. Written and produced by Joan Sebastian, and co-produced by Jesús Rincón, the album was met with instant success. It has sold two million units worldwide, and is one of the best-selling albums by Fernández. It spawned four hit singles: "Estos Celos", "La Derrota", "Un Millón de Primaveras", and the title track, the latter of which was used as the main theme to the telenovela Fuego En La Sangre, which brought the wider exposure to the album and helped it to stay on charts for over two years. It was named the best-selling Regional Mexican Album of the decade by Billboard magazine.

Fórmula, Vol. 1 is the debut studio album by American singer Romeo Santos, released on November 8, 2011, by Sony Music Latin. It is Santos's first album as a solo artist following the break-up of American bachata group Aventura, of which he was the lead singer. The record contains fifteen tracks, most of which were composed by Santos and co-produced with Ivan Chevere. The album experiments with the sound of bachata and other genres including R&B and flamenco. Enamorada de Ti is the second remix album by American Tejano singer Selena. It was released posthumously on 3 April 2012 through Capitol Latin and Q-Productions. Enamorada de Ti was produced by Sergio Lopes, Leslie Ahrens, Andres Castro, Moggie Canazio, Cesar Lemons and Chilean record producer Humberto Gatica. Gatica had the idea of modernizing songs recorded by Selena into today's popular music genres. Selena's family had already been working on a similar idea, but they set it aside in favor of Enamorada de Ti, which had gained the approval of Capitol Latin. The selection of artists to sing duets with Selena began in late summer 2011. Gatica and Selena's family chose American singer and actress Selena Gomez, Puerto Rican singer Don Omar, Samuel "Samo" Parra from the Mexican rock band Camila, Mexican singer Cristian Castro, Spanish DJ mixer Juan Magan, and the Carlos Santana band, while the remaining songs selected were remixed.
Joyas Prestadas: Pop and Joyas Prestadas: Banda are the 11th and final studio albums by recording artist Jenni Rivera, released on November 21, 2011, by Fonovisa Records. Joyas Prestadas consists of a double album with eleven cover songs, each recorded with two distinct styles of music.
