Agaba Mark (born 14 December 1994), known professionally as Uncle Mark, is a Ugandan media personality, comedian and emcee. [1] [2] [3] [4] He is a radio host at Next Radio 106.1 FM [5] [6] [7] [8] and works as a Public Relations Protocol Executive at Next Media Uganda. [9] [10] [11] He is an ongoing cast member of the comedy show Comedy Store Uganda. [12] [13] [14] [15] [16]

Early life and education

Uncle Mark was born on 14 December 1994 in Kamwenge District, Western Uganda, [17] to the Banyankole tribe. He attended St Mary's College, Kamwenge, and APASS Senior Secondary School, Nsambya-Kevina. He acquired a Bachelor of Arts in economics at Makerere University [18] and later pursued a degree in Social Work and Social Administration at Uganda Christian University (UCU). [17]

Career

Uncle Mark started his comedy career in 2013, performing in various venues. In 2016, he appeared on "The Comic Uganda," a comedy competition on NBS TV, where he was a runner-up. [18] [19] This exposure helped him gain recognition in the Ugandan entertainment industry. He has continued to perform on Comedy Store Uganda and other platforms. [20] [21] [22] [23] [24]

Leadership experience

He served as the Guild President of UCU's Kampala campus from 2019-2020. [25] [26]

Personal life

Uncle Mark married Patricia Valeria Namata in August 2023. [37] [38] [39] The couple followed traditional rituals before their wedding. [40] [41]
