Uncover is a Canadian investigative journalism podcast, launched in 2018 by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. [1] Each season is hosted by a different journalist, and delves into Canadian and international crime stories. [2]

The second season, Bomb on Board, won the RTNDA Canada award for Best Original / Enterprise Journalism in 2019. [3] In August 2019, the CBC announced that the third season, The Village, was in development as the basis for a documentary television series. [4]

As with other CBC podcasts, episodes of the series have aired terrestrially on CBC Radio One as substitute programming in the summer season and on public holidays.

Julian Sher is a Canadian investigative journalist, filmmaker, author and newsroom trainer based in Montreal, Quebec. He was an investigative producer for ten years then a senior producer for five years with the CBC's The Fifth Estate. He has written extensively about outlaw motorcycle gangs, child abuse and the justice system.

<i>The One: Making a Music Star</i> American TV series or program

The One: Making a Music Star is an American reality television series that aired in July 2006 on ABC in the United States, and CBC Television in Canada. The show was hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos, the host of CBC's The Hour. It was advertised as being superior to American Idol and Rock Star with the twist that contestants "live together in a fully functioning music academy", with their actions documented similar to the Big Brother format.

Michelle Shephard is an independent investigative reporter, author and filmmaker. She has been awarded the Michener Award for public service journalism and won Canada's top newspaper prize, the National Newspaper Award, three times. In 2011, she was an associate producer on a documentary called Under Fire: Journalists in Combat. She produced the National Film Board documentary, Prisoners of the Absurd, which premiered at Amsterdam's film festival in 2014. Shephard also co-directed a film based on her book about Omar Khadr, Guantanamo's Child, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2015.

Sarah Edmondson is a Canadian actress and podcaster. She is known for supporting roles on Hallmark Channel, and as a voice actress, most notably in Geronimo Stilton as Thea Stilton and as Lina in the Bratz movies.

Canadian Pacific Air Lines Flight 21 was a scheduled domestic flight from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, via Prince George, Fort St. John, Fort Nelson and Watson Lake on July 8, 1965. The Douglas DC-6B plane crashed near 100 Mile House, British Columbia, taking the lives of all 52 aboard. An inquest determined that the explosion was the result of a bomb, but the crime remains unsolved.
